Introduction |
Its tough playing this game on no sleep and while puking..somehow I managed to put together 5 solid games with only 1 mistake that didn't even cost me a win. I did have fun spoiling a couple cards also. |

Kevin was rocking a combination of Basso, Integrity Bajorans, and Tongo rigging to put points on the board and go for a two-mission strike. He was able to get a few Tongo hits right away, including a ship I would have liked to draw, but it became clear quickly that he needed Winn Adami to set it up. I Ensnare her to stop the tricks, and he tries to pull off a few in the sark which end up giving me points instead. I'm able to get through a mission and some additional bonus points, but can't get through my second before Kev closed the deal with the damage already done thanks to Tongo. Great match with a guy I don't see very often. |

Round 4 | | Josh Grace | ML (-40) |
Unfortunately our game went to time so no interview. Complicated game Josh wins when he plays Caretakers guests like a champ on back to back attempts on the same turn thwarting me. Time is called w/ him at 95 pts as I had killed his Daneeka early. |

After hearing that Josh gets a mod win against Kevin, I'm still in a position to win this all if I beat Kevin and Matthew beats Josh. While Matthew did end up beating Josh, I was not so fortunate against Kevin. Kevin was running a Tongo deck, using the Winn trick to discard a card to put 7-cost Chakotay on top of the deck for the practically guaranteed score, then do just Deliver Evidence (and its Bajor region reduction) and Risa for the win. I'm not that successful in stalling him at Deliver Evidence before he's able to get that solved and onto Risa in a hurry. He calls out Legacy after seeing it the first time but I was able to stall him at Risa. I go out and solve IMA, losing two people along the way but when I made it to Risa, he top-decks Secret Identity. The next two dilemmas were both All-Consuming Evil's so if he hadn't gotten the stop here, I would've gotten the win. Due to the dead people and no other people left in deck/play, there wasn't anything else that I could do. 40-100 (I got a tie with Tongo) As Matthew's and I had the same Strength of Schedule and never played against each other, my CVP would've gotten me the tournament. (My 4+8+9+13+17 = 51 vs. Matthew's 1+5+9+13+17 = 45) |
