Introduction |
In a twist of good fortune, there was a women of faith conference in St. Paul that my wife had been really wanting to attend. The cost though was pretty high for a single person but when both this event AND a birthday party for the old pro's girlfriend are happening the same weekend it was the all the reason for me to come with and make it a weekend vacation for the wife and I. |

My dilemmas just couldnt stop the romulan klingon connection from solving the first two missions on one shot goes. My dilemma choices were fine but my random selections were abysmal. Fortunately, Henry was forced to throw more dilemmas than were ideal so i was able to solve next turn and move on each time and with the help of Quantum Slipstream drive was able to get to space the turn after Henry did. Henry encounterd a temptation situation and forgot he had a treachery klingon in the dc pile to promise off of which ended up being the deciding factor. |
If i had played a promise the game was mine. Never gonna let that happen again. Thanks for coming kev! Next time i'm gunning for ya. |

Matt got out fast with 7 on turn 3 and was able to stay a step ahead of me. Still though the game came down to a situation where if i could have drawn a maglock against the first team of 7 i would have had a chance against the second team which would have bought me the turn i needed to TRY and solve my 3rd mission for the win. So probably still a long shot. I did have 2 dilemmas underneath the mission already but matt's dilemma pile had certainly put me to the ropes most of the game. Matt was in the lead the whole way this game and never gave it up. |
good to see big kev, esp. with the huge driving distance. great game, aah the dilemmas! |

Round 3 | | Barry Windschitl | FW (+35)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
As much as Matt was in front of me all game rd 2 i was in front of Barry the whole way here. I got a mission one attempt solved with 7 people. I solve another mission a turn later then was onto space. I inadvertantly played the long game and removed all his transporters so he couldnt solve rescue prisoners when i chose to fancy dan his second mission thinking he only had 2 geo for dilithium mine when he had 4...so i couldnt stop him but i nailed the transporters instead and that double time walked Barry and gave me the win. |
This was a pretty close game, with Kev's win coming down to a lucky happenstance of playing the "Long Game" and gacking a needed skill on the mission Before I needed it (Transporters). My last turn, I drew two or three transporter people as my last three draw/spend counters. I think I actually got lucky, and stopped a crew with Invidium Leak (an achievement all by itself).
PS: My dilemma pile didn't need a diaper. |

Closing Thoughts |
Gotta love how close premiere only games are almost as a matter of rule. |
