BorgEntire Worlds
Introduction
For our final League event/playoff event #4, I chose to go funky. Big shenanigans here. Chose this all planet deck, naturally with the meltdown of Genesis Planet to become my completed space mission, ftw. It's eerie how I can call/feel the meta in my area/group, as I suspected Chris was planning on running some sort of destruction deck, but, more on that later...

Round 1BorgJohn TomaszewskiFW (+60)
John T. ran my virtual-built neoBorg, that of the dissidents of Unimatrix Zero, up against my old school Alpha Quad Borg. He pounded out the completion of Instruct Advanced Drone in either 3 or 4 attempts. I subsequently held him up at Reestablish Neural Cooperative while I 'two mission-killed' Genesis Planet (with ETC + DE), supported by some Annexation Drone plays, and knocked out Find Lifeless World in natural form (and thanks to the aforementioned DE, along with an ETC...just for the extra 5 pts.) FW, 100-40.

Round 2Chris VolkFW (+35)
Ah, Chris. master of the funky deck, usually. Had a brutal one here. kind of like his one two weeks prior, but, a different one nonetheless. I'd talk about it, but, as we're going into Regional season, I'll keep it under wraps till our June 9th Regional is over with, just in case he plans to play a version of it (this or modified).

Round 3StarfleetMike RudolphMW (+10)
Mike ran his Starfleet in it's current form. something we've seen nearly a dozen times lately. Good deck. Here's the kicker, I believe I can say this with new understanding of what SirDan means when he ends the Section 31 podcast with '37 to win, etc.' ??? In my first attempt of an ETC'd Genesis Planet, Mike threw one dilemma at my Borg team of 9. 48 TO WIN! That is, I had to interlink/mill my 69 card deck of 48 cards just to get to my lone Research Drone, the Physics interlinker...to walk through We'll Never Know, of course. the bum was third from the bottom of my deck! Got him, Queen-swapped him in, then interlinked the second-to-last card to make all 9 have Physics. got the mission on that first (COSTLY) attempt. and was sweating bullets the rest of the game on whether I'd be able to pull off a full win, with what little resources I had in play. Luck was with me, and Mike flopping an Occupational Hazards on my team at Salvage Borg Ship with a first turn played Locutus present, which ended up giving me the mod win, 80-70 (after having completed SBS). Mike had his last turn, as he went second. He tried to bully his second planet (after getting ESPN and SSB prior) for the full win, with 12 peeps, and I threw the kitchen sink at him, starting with An Issue of Trust that knocked his numbers down to something like 5 or so peeps. the other four dilemmas I punched him with got him to 0 personnel while my last ditch sporting Secret Identity (for s's & g's) had nobody left to face it, even if he could have done a swap. Game over. Mod Win, 80-70. Knucklebiter. GG, Mike.
