FederationRevised Ent-E Off-Zel
Introduction
I had an idea to take advantage of the Quadrant-hopping rules and use USS Enterprise-E and Off-Zel Vase to score big points. I added NA Holograms into the deck for backup and protection against kill dilemmas.

Round 1KazonMarkFW (+70)View opponent's Report
We both had a good chuckle as we were dropping missions- his all-planet, mine all space. Going first I got Cyrus, AMS, and two holodoors in my hand. I dropped him and a free Fed weenie, then downloaded two new specialists, played one Door on the enterprise and use the other to pull da Vinci and Mona Lisa (to deter the Kazon Fleet that was sure to chase me all over the quadrants. Going for a quick game, I attempted Evade Borg Ship immediately with everyone but Cyrus. To my pleasant surprise there was nothing but planet dilemmas there so I walked through and picked up my Vase (45 points with specialists). His first turn he played a bunch of Borg and Kazon. My second turn I played Greasy Dukat and moved to the DQ On his turn he played some more stuff to the DQ and moved as if planning to attack. On my third turn I had a pivotal choice to make. Should I run to the GQ and work on that mission, even though I didn't have the requirements or risk getting stuck in the DQ at his mercy. Counting up his weapons I decided to risk it... and hit Dead End. 5 points short. On his turn he played a Kazon fighter and used a warship and Distortion of Space/Time to get to my mission. I pulled a Breen Disruptor Burst which gave me just enough shields to avoid a direct hit. Next turn I moved back to the AQ. He followed with his fleet the next turn. Sensing my impending doom, I decided to cower in the nebula, instantly regretting my decision to put the Neutral outpost there instead of the Fed. The next few turns were slow for me. Play, draw, your turn. I tried to request the item a few times in the hopes he'd give me the 5 points, but he never fell for it. Meanwhile he attempted a couple missions but had some difficulty with the dilemmas. Fortunately for me, Cyrus was still active and Dukat was clearing out his discard pile nearly as fast as my dilemmas and his hexany shenanigans filled it up. Finally I had my opening. I played an Akira used a holodoor to grab Moriarty, and headed for the GQ with a Cluttering Irrelevancy in hand to give me the Computer Skill I needed for that mission. At the end of my turn, I drew into Geordi... even better! Geordi peaked at the first dilemma: To get past requires 2 Honor or 2 Treachery and whoever uses it gets bounced. I got fixated on the Honor requirement knowing I had self-seeded Ankari Spirits there to stave off mission stealing and forgot I had the treachery. No matter, I had a plan. I cluttered Lonzak with Honor and bounced Worf for his dilemma. Lonzak gave me the three Honor I needed for Ankari, then my 18 passenger crew walked through the last dilemma. 45 points including the specialist plus the 15 Off Zel Vase points took me to 105. Since he had all Planet as well, no Big Picture meant I won the match. 105-0 Great game, Soggy! You gave me a run for my money! Lessons learned: Make sure your Paulson Nebula outpost can do repairs.

Round 2VidiianJeremy HuthFL (-20)
Jeremy was playing what looked like an old-style Vidiian deck, just Vidiian and DQ Non-Aligned. Surprisingly, all his missions were Delta Quadrant, which seems like a mistake knowing that Monument is out there and how easy it is to hop quadrants. I went first, made some card plays, used RRD for Riker, and attempted ASP but he popped a General Quarters as soon as I attempted to download. By my second turn I got staffed and attempted Evade Dominion Ship. First up was Edo Probe. Hoping it was a bluff and high on my previous wins, I continued headlong into a Gomtuu Shock Wave. (-10 pts) My next three turns were spent repairing… Off to a terrible start. Meanwhile, he played Genetronic Replicator and began attempting. Sadly, since I hadn't gotten my draws up and running, I never downloaded Q the Referee, which means he was able to walk through my Murder dilemmas without effect. I grabbed Panel Overload at the next opportunity and kept QRef handy for the next three copies he played. As soon as I was repaired I attempted Evade Borg ship, and passed easily (mostly misseeds), scored 45 pts (35), then moved back to Dom Ship with enough Diplomacy to get through Gomtuu. I don’t remember if there were any more dilemmas, but I do remember passing easily, and scoring 50 pts, only 5 of which counted toward winning due to Jeremy’s In The Zone. I can’t blame him for playing it - I certainly would have in his position, but I just think its a shitty card. I bet unless you’ve accidentally run into it before (or had the fortune to drop it on someone else who forgot about it), you’ve probably never thought about that function before. (85/40 pts). Bummed about my stupidity attempting Dom Ship so quickly, I moved to my GQ mission (hoping to stay away from meddlesome Vidiians, and attempted. Hit another Edo Probe (calling YOLO, I continued) and a Scow for -10 (75/30 pts). Next turn I dragged the Scow back to the AQ and drew to end. The following turn I played an Akira, moved both back to GQ where Jeremy had a Vidian Warship waiting to claw me. He clawed the Enterprise but never actually did anything with it. Next turn I solved the mission for 60 total points (40 + 5 AMS points + 15 Off-Zel Vase points), only 50 towards winning. (135/80) -Meanwhile, he was slogging through my kill dilemmas. Fortunately, I was able to keep Panel Overload coming back and killing his Genetronic. He scored 100 pts and I suspended play to download Monument, stretching out the game longer. At this point, he had over 100 points, I was still at least one mission away (depending on whether he had Big Picture and/or Balancing Act) and on a personal level I had been playing for over an hour-and-a-half, alternating between ignoring or being distracted by my children on a beautiful Saturday morning. I had to call it quits and knowing I had made several tactical errors throughout the game (walking into ITZ, two cocky Edo Probe decisions, forgetting my Dukat could burn his Genetronics in discard pile, attempting the first mission without Dip x2 or Empathy) and rather than try to drag it out to yet another day, I just conceded. It would have been interesting to see if one more turn could have gotten me the full win, but I had already sacrificed too much time on the game and I wouldn’t have deserved it.

Round 3FederationJon CarterFL (-100)View opponent's Report
Jon was playing a Fed/TNG powerhouse with tons of free plays and even more card draws. His first turn he downloaded a few guys, played a bunch for free, consolidated his people and ended. I was surprised he didn't attempt a mission quickly before I could get my Cyrus out. On my turn I decided to go for my mission first thing in the hopes that he misseeded most of the dilemmas underneath. Big mistake. Arachnia got stuck on Kobayashi, Geordi on Ferengi Ingenuity, Dejaren killed Worf, a mission specialist, and deactivated Cyrus. And with that I was screwed. From that point on I was watching as he walked through missions, unable to rebuild fast enough to do anything. When he solved his second mission for 80-0, I conceded and went to bed. Jon was fun to play against and I learned a few interesting tricks I'll have to steal for future use. Too bad I made a terrible tactical choice my first turn. But it probably wouldn't have mattered much. His deck was such a machine there was no way I was winning.

Round 4Non-AlignedMichael MoskopFW (+100)View opponent's Report
This game was a spur of the moment, gentleman's agreement style game. We were both in the chatroom and had time to play, so we agreed to use our tourney decks and save the score for future use if we ended up paired together in later rounds. He was playing a TNG Rogue Borg, Mercenary Ship and War Council. First turn he played a bunch of guys and passed. My first turn I did my downloading (Worf, Chaotica, RRD>Riker). I decided to hold off on ASP since I drew into Troi and Inge Eiger and could play them immediately. So with those guys and my other two mission specialists I attempted Evade Dominion Squadron. First up was an Edo Probe. I hesitated for a moment... Did he pick this as the first mission I would attempt? Figuring I would risk the 10 points I went ahead with the attempt. Next up was Reluctant Informant, which Troi empathed away. Last dilemma was a misseeded planet dilemma. And with that I moved to the GQ and ended my first turn with 50 points. Huzzah! Off to a roaring start. Next turn he did his TNG thing, dropping a bunch of dudes and drawing, then he decided to attempt one of his space missions with the Husnock Ship. He walked through Murder Investigation without hitting a Security, but got nailed by Ankari Spirits. Four people dead before he could evacuate the ship, nut that destaffed him and he was dead in the water. On my turn I attempted my GQ mission. With nothing but Dead End and planet dilemmas, I walked right through. Unfortunately I didn't have the skills so the mission remained unsolved. Back to the AQ I went to pick up more people. On his turn he gave an attempt but couldn't pass my Implication. Two more people dead. My next turn was quick: report an Akira and another personnel, move to the DQ. On his following turn, he sent down 10 personnel to attempt Foster New Collective but ran into Murder Investigation taking out 6 personnel. Unscientific Method couldn't find a SCIENCE personnel left, but he didn't have the Cunning so he was stopped. On my turn I attempted with a handful of people on the Akira first. They managed to slog through his dilemmas only stopping a couple people with The Arsenal Divided. My Enterprise crew was standing ready to complete: (40 points plus 15 from the Off- Zel brought me up to 105). Much to my surprise, he didn't have a Big Picture handy so the game was mine: 105-0

Closing Thoughts
Overall, I somewhat enjoy the format. I like the rule of 4 and the quadrant hopping rules. Between those two I like the quadrant rules best for the format. The best part about playing Revised is that it serves to remind you how great the OTF ban list is.
