BorgGamma Quadrant Assimilation
Introduction
With the addition of A Willing Companion, it is possible to play an all-gamma quadrant Borg deck and still benefit from Service the Collective at all missions. I decided to finally pull out the Weyoun of Borgs and give it a shot. I also thought it would be interested to try the Scout Ship drop deck, so I eliminated facilities and associated cards and got down to 6 non-dilemma seeds. To compound the dilemma torture, I used downloader dilemmas to make some 4-card combos into potentially 6-card combos.

Round 1FederationMatt KirkFW (+60)
Matt was playing with the new Launch the Phoenix, so I was immediately glad I didn't try to Stop First Contact. He set up in the alpha quadrant and I set up in the gamma, getting strange looks when I passed in the facilities phase.

I dropped a Scout and immediatly flipped Establish Gateway and started scouting. That kind of fast start let me churn through dilemmas. I moved on to Assimilate Planet, used Data of Borg to fetch a Resistance is Futile, then moved over to the Founder Homeworld and Assimilated it for the win.

Round 2FederationRogue ShindlerML (+40)
Rogue missed the memo about RiF cards being legal, and was playing a Son'a/E-E deck without any of the new cards. He lost his crew early on to a Plague ship, but was able to rebuild and go on to Harness Particles and score a double turn. There was a lot going on, much unstopping, and time ran out before either of us could get to 100. He had more though, and scored a mod win.

Round 3FederationCharlie PlaineMW (+20)View opponent's Report
I heard Charlie talking about what he was doing, and I was not looking forward to it. Evil Terrans with Tantalus Field are a problem for Borg, as they can pick off a counterpart and render Assimilate Homeworld a loss. Also, Charlie was playing with a Bajoran Wormhole, so he could get to where I was and mess with me. Turns out there was another tact he could do: blow up my scouts. He did that twice, scoring 5 points each.

My dilemmas did their job though, and I was able to hold him off while scoring my two basic objectives for 50 points, and another 10 for Resistance is Futile. I couldn't finish Assimilate Homeworld on my last turn, but won on higher score.
