Introduction |
I was really nervous about playing this deck. I only built it last week and had played it twice. I had not won either time. My only other option was Romulan capture, and I know I was dead if I did that. This deck was stacked with a lot of meta stuff. I played Cadets because they're cheap and easily replaceable in the case of a TT/ACE pile. I had a bit of kill prevention as well, or in the event of people dying, they went on Forever Linked for later skill sharing. Finally, my TT pile is designed so that I can have skill-based dilemmas, |

Round 1 | | Joshua Sheets | FW (+100) |
Josh was playing Romulan. I think he just didn't get his mechanics going right. I managed to get together enough Cadets to make it through Practice Orbital Maneuvers, and then solved two more, exactly what the deck is supposed to do.

Round 2 | | Greg Hodgin | FL (-60) |
Romulan TT/ACE just killed me over and over again. I managed to do Practice Orbital Maneuvers, but nothing else. I got through one attempt of Assess Contamination, but he killed the two Law people I had. Both went on Forever Linked, but I never got to a place where I could attempt again. Greg won, and he won fast. I was wonder how I could make my Romulans fast. Now I know.

Round 3 | | Michael Shea | MW (+40) |
Michael was also playing Romulan/TT/ACE. He was making use of Nanclus for attribute boosts. He also 'thonged me quite a bit. Oh, and Aid Legendary Civilization sucks! He managed to put all my non-Cadets under my deck. I couldn't even get enough folks together to do TCS. I slogged it out to the mod win.

Round 4 | | Mikey Camp JR | FW (+65) |
Mike was playing a pretty standard Bajoran integrity solver. He didn't like seeing TCS in play at the beginning of the game. My TT pile pinged him enough that I made it through.

Closing Thoughts |
I'm glad I chose Cadets. They proved to be an agile deck with lots of advantages. |
