Introduction |
Russell Toddman with a dilemma pile full of dilemmas that hurt Bajorans. |
|
Round 1 | | Jason Conlon | FW (+65) |
Dilemmas that hurt Bajorans also tend to work well against TNG intergrity decks. Jasons first mission attempt he hit In-Fighting and Assassination Attempt and lost three personnel. I mamaged to follow up with several other kills and captured two with Sylvia. At the end of the game I had 20 personnel in play to Jasons 9 -- including 3-4 from Russell Toddman. Jaresh Inyo was the star though, bring in 3 early from Guinan's 5 points. |

|
Round 2 | | Peter Hill | FW (+60) |
Pete got off to a slow start and I benefited from an extra 7 counters from Provoke Interstellar Incident. After turn one I had Bellerophon, Fontaine, Worf and two Security Drills in play. I attempted turn 4 and quickly solved my first two missions. Then I got stuck at my third whilst Pete also slowed down courtesy The Clown Go Away. Once he busted through his first mission he steamrolled his second and setup a tight finish. Pete used up some points to slow me further but I snuck home for the win. |

Round 3 | | Daniel Waller | ML (-1) |
Daniel was using Opaka in the Gamma Quadrant so I decided to target her. Despite removing her from play three time she was still there at the end. We both got stuck late game, for Daniel is was The Clown Go Away doing the damage and for me it was Daniel's sneaky dilemma plays. In the end we got timed out at 70-70. Daniel had space planet and I had two planets so he took the win. |

|
Round 4 | | Kieren | FL (-100) |
Kieren got off to a slow start but smart captured and a smart use of the Pheonix forced me to attempt Investigate Maquis Activity even though it would cause me to lose a personnel to capture. Kieren steamrolled the last two missions with Central Commands stomping all ove my deck. |

Closing Thoughts |
Fun day. Great to see the new cards being played and lots of affilation diversity. Also great to se Walzo take out his first three games and playing for his first tournament win in 117 outings. It wasn't to be, but his time is coming. |
