Round 1 | | Smiley | FL (-40)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Captured 6 including Picard -- saw Mike has a lack of archaeology so used broken captive on picard effectively. For any chance of a win, I had to send in Odo and lose point to trim out Mike's anthropology. When time was called I had the lead but Mike could setup a triple attempt with Mot, enterprise J and 6 under. I conceded to save time. |
Steve is always a tough match. It's like being Lex Luthor but having to deal with that Kryptonian dude all the time. On turn one, I was able to drop six guys, and was able to attempt Breach Barrier aboard the E-D with Picard by turn 3. Then came the grinding. It turns out that Captured by the Breen is really good against this deck. Each turn I got a few more dilemmas under the mission, and then went to my second one. When I was about to have three teams, each nine strong attempt the mission with six already under, Steve conceded. |

Round 2 | | Daniel Waller | FW (+100) |
Walzo was trying his mill deck again which had the potential to work well against my deck which discarded its fair share of cards. I abandoned the capture theme and went for a three mission win. By the time Walzo got going I had almost discard my whole deck but had two missions solved and the best part of the third. |

Round 3 | | Kieren | FW (+35) |
Kieren was going well until I attempted my third mission and Telle ripped his combo to pieces to take the full win. Telle also stole the first mission by swapping Chula The Abyss into play which fizzled as i had an odd number of personnel. |

Round 4 | | Clayton Walton | ML (-5) |
Clayton's deck chews up time with lots of Dabo girl action. I also got three captives early and was ready to start scoring bonus points but Clayton drew into Rescue captives - DOH! I was in trouble when time was called with both of us having two missions solved but Clayton in the lead 65-60. Unable to solve Clayton took the timed win. Another round and one of us would have taken the full win. |
