"Dominion recognizes us for what we are, the true leaders of the Alpha Quadrant. And now that we are joined together, equal partners in all endeavors, the only people with anything to fear will be our enemies." |
Introduction |
Cardassians in the Gamma Quadrant using The Die is Cast and The Central Command. Also Damar and Tain for card advantage to help fuel Telle. Groumall and Garak for skill cheating. |

Round 1 | | Earned Bye | EB (+100) |
A chance to get some stuff organised for the rest of Australian championships |

Round 2 | | Jay Coad | FW (+100) |
I got a good draw and was out attempting by turn 4. Soon after I had Tenak'telar and was attempting gamma missions. The Central Command helped me bust through dilemmas and take the full win before Jay got really going. Jay managed to mill only two of my dilemmas and attempted his first mission 2-3 times without a successful solve. |

|
Round 3 | | Peter Hill | FW (+100) |
Good draw again and attempting by turn 4. Pete got bogged down drawing non aligned personnel whilst I was out solving. The Central Command again helps me solve missions quickly. Pete attempts his first mission but I have three solved before he can finish his first. Pete used Historical Research to download Harrad-Sar to get Ezri and Morn for a guaranteed extra draw each turn which I thought was pretty cool tech. |

|
Round 4 | | Matthew Ting | FW (+100) |
Good draw again and out solving by turn 4. Matt was able to attempt his mission earlier than my opponents but was still unable to bust his first mission. He tried Crippling Strike on me but I had Mila in play - I think I discarded five cards to keep Mila for later. The Central Command and The Die is Cast helped me solve my three missions before he had his first. |

Round 5 | | Greg Dillon | FL (-30)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I am not comfortable playing Relativity and Greg was playing a different version to what I was used to focusing heavily on Kirk. We both got out early but I made a critical mistake when he attempted his first mission with seven. I threw Moral Choice expecting to stop him and forgot he played Kirk. He solves and the rest of the game I am playing catch-up. Whilst trying to catch-up I manage to deck out. I manage to get close as we are both working on our final mission at the same time. Greg solves first and takes the win. |
I've played against Steve's cardies back at 2012 Worlds and I think he won before I attempted a mission. This time I had a much faster deck and I was aware of all the cheaters and skill gaining he had available. I got a good start, third turn Data, OT Kirk, Icheb and Seven on the ship and attempting Evade Soliton Wave with 7, Steve assessed his dilemmas fairly quickly and throws one at me I say thank you use Kirk and take the mission. On top of the early mistake Steve didn't seem to be having a good draw as he was milling his deck at an extreme pace. When he did finally attempt a mission I was pretty confident that I was paying attention to who he played and I could just use one dilemma to stop him BUT making sure I didn't do a similar mistake as Steve did I threw extras. Turned out I thought Tain had 2 Programming but he only had 1 so Steve's crew was even easier to stop than I had thought. Steve used a couple of Central Commands on the attempt next turn to get the mission but his deck was extremely slim by this point and I was sure I could keep him out of two more missions before I got mine done. My Avert Danger fell eventually as well as Steve getting a second mission with his last Central Command and the last of his deck. So then I mopped up Metron Arena easily before he got his last mission. |

Round 6 | | Smiley | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I get out slowly but so did Mike. In this game I use all three Central Commands and multiple uses of The Die is Cast to take the win. |
We were both tired, and got bad draws. Ultimately Steve came out ahead through seemingly endless Cardassian interrupts that get around stuff. |
|
Closing Thoughts |
Did not use Telle all day but was set up for it once. The Die is Cast helped in some matches - notably vs Mike Nugent but otherwise was not used that much. Barely used Elim Garak. Most matches were decided by The Central Command and card advantage from Damar and Tain. |
