DS9 Gamma Solver |
Introduction |
DS9 Gamma integrity solver using Danube class ships. |
|
Round 1 | | Shane Brierley | FW (+75) |
Shane was trying S8472. I tried the same thing the other week when Mike was playing Bajor which is full of 2 Honor, 2 Security and 2 Diplomacy personnel. Getting the S8472 dilemmas to hit when those skills are on the table is pretty tough. My deck had all those same personnel making it very difficult to get the dilemmas to my core. Shane had one mission solved and five dilemmas in my core when I solved my third mission for the win. |

Round 2 | | Kieren | FL (-35) |
I made I huge mistake in this game when Kieren threw a Secret Identity at one of my Feds and I bought in Nog who is pretty crucial to the range of my ships. Kieren captured him next turn making the movement of the Danube ships even harder than normal. Once I realised the bad choice of the 4 span space mission with the Danube ships I realised it was going to be a long day. Kieren took the win comfortably whilst I spent most of the game micro-managing my ships around the gamme quadrant. |

Round 3 | | Pete Santamaria | FL (-65) |
Pete was playing pretty much my deck, without the rubbish Feds and ribbish ships and better low integrity missions. He romped it home whilst I struggled to get my ships to the missions I wanted them. |

Round 4 | | Harshana Randeni | MW (+35) |
We were tied at 60-60 when time was called but I had no space mission solved. I managed to complete my space mission to go ahead 90-60 using Ascension and Vic to cheat him of dilemmas. I then had one shot to win at my planet mission. There was zero dilemmas under when I started and Hash threw a heap at me. in the end, I had Neela still standing and two Covenants in hand. She grabbed Ben Sisko and Odo to sneak the mission. |

Closing Thoughts |
Hash is a new player and hadn't seen Covenant or Ascension in use before. Those cards are not new player friendly. I did spend some time after the game giving him some tips on how to beat Bajorans (An Issue of Trust, Personal Duty and dilemmas that attack Interrupts). I doubt I will be able to get past him this way next time. This deck will be so much better with Centaur and some of the new cards. |
