Tournament Report - 2E Virtual |

Introduction |
This was a virtual starter deck tournament with four sealed Decipher booster packs used to enhance the deck. After opening our packs, we decide if we want to add or exchange any of the new cards from the boosters with those in the starter. Then, we can tweak the decks if so desired, between rounds.
We had six players show up, but were expecting a couple of more players that didn't make it. |
|
Round 1 | | Joseph Bazemore | FL (-65) |
Joe was playing Starfleet and was able to take advantage of the basic deck design to overcome my dilemmas without too much trouble. At the same time, he was able to keep me from using my Borg to any advantage. I was also not drawing my Scrutiny Drones, or any other ones for that matter, that would have given me additional card draws. That kept me from building up a crew quickly enough. Result - Full loss 35-115. |

Round 2 | | Eric R | FL (-100) |
Eric is the guy to beat in our group, and I haven't had much luck doing that. Today was no exception. His well played dilemmas stopped me from completing even one mission, while his Voyager deck pretty much did whatever he wanted. The Necleogenic cards were too much for my simple mission solving Borg to deal with. Result - Full loss 0-100 |

Round 3 | | Martin Drake | FW (+100) |
The final round against Martin went much better for me. I was able to get the Scrutiny Drones into play to get some extra card draws. I almost decked out as a matter of fact, with only two cards left in my draw deck by the end of the game. Martin, playing Starfleet, wasn't able to draw a ship until I had already completed one mission and had dilemmas under a second. He couldn't recover from the late start as I got lucky with some dilemma draws to prevent him from doing a mission. Result - Full Win 125-0. |
