StarfleetStarfleet Slipstream deck
Introduction
This was a Slipstream format event. It consisted of (4) 30-minute rounds. To win you solve either a planet or a space mission, and score 50 points. We had six player in this tournament. I used a Starfleet deck with as many high cunning personnel as I could get. The plan was to do a 40 point mission and score my 10 bonus points by being the first to solve a space mission.

Round 1DominionDS9-EarthJohn KinneyFW (+50)
John had a duel headquarters deck with DS9-Earth as the primary and Founder's Homeworld as secondary for bonus points. Using Distant Exploration 6P19 and Debate Over Dinner 15V11, he would be able to score enough bonus points to allow him to do the Practice Orbital Maneuvers 8U59 space mission. My deck included Lore, Ducat and the mother/son team Carol and David Marcus for some extra cunning I needed for my space mission Breach Barrier 15V24. John was two cunning short of solving his on his first attempt. Using Boothby and Nick Lacarno, he was able to really boost this total attributes, but not quite enough. My guys kept plugging away and finally was able to get a full win, 50-0.

Round 2Terok NorStarfleetEric RFL (-50)
Eric also played a dual headquarters deck. His main one was Terok Nor but he also had Earth, Humanity's Home for bonus points. Eric did the a 20 point space mission and had a couple of Interrupts (I can't remember the titles) that gave him the additional bonus points he needed for the win. I wasn't able to draw a couple of specific dilemmas I really needed, and didn't pull my Uninvited, so I just couldn't stop him at the end. He was always attempting with a very minimal crew and I just couldn't get enough counters to get the dilemmas I needed in time. Full loss, 0-50.

Round 3KlingonJoanne KinneyFW (+50)
Joanne was, surprise, also playing a dual headquarter deck. She went with Klingon to be different. She also had the Dominion homeworld for the same bonus points as John. She actually had the deck design before John did, so . . ., you figure out what made John go that route! :-) Anyway, this game, all the right cards came for me right away and I attempted and solved my mission on the first try. Just the luck of the draw here. Full win, 50-0.

Round 4DominionJoseph BazemoreFW (+50)
My game agains Joe went pretty well. He was using a Dominon deck with infiltrators, and attacking and other fancy stuff. It was too slow against my mission solver and I was able to win without too much trouble. Again, I have to say, luck of the draw is very important in the Slipstream format. You don't have time to make up for bad card draws like in a normal game. Another full win, 50-0.
