Rick Kinney (T-Ricks) Tournament Report - Tr 2014-06-28 - 04:15 PM Try to Utilize Poison Introduction I built a different deck for today's tournament, as the last two tournaments went too fast for me to make my "Bonus" deck work. This one used Utilize and Poison to try to scrape up quick points during the course of each round. Round 1 () John went out this round with 133,132 points. I was able to hit with a couple of scores giving me 60,001 for the round. Joe got a score of 50,003, Ted didn't score any points and Martin picked up 10 points. Round 2 () John went out again this round too, with 270,521 points. I only managed a few hits this round and got 13,020 points. Joe did pretty good with 160,001 points. Ted didn't make anything again and neither did Martin. Round 3 () This round I went out first and scored 122,363 points. Five Poison and Utilize hits resulted in only 32 points. So sad. Joe and Martin didn't score this round. John scored 111,001 points and Ted pulled in 10,000 points. Round 4 () This round went to Ted when he Antidoted my Poison to score 10,000 off the Poison and 13 from his play pile for a total of 10,013 points. It was my lowest round with only 10,110 points. Joe only scored 11 points while Martin got blanked again and John scored 10 points. It was a very fast round. Round 5 () I went out again this round but didn't have a lot of hits as the round went rather quickly. I scored 152,002 points; John scored 50,001 points, Joe and Ted got blanked with 0 points, and Martin pulled in another 100 points. Closing Thoughts We finished all five rounds with time to spare. We had a few Masaka's that sped up one round, while Antidote made short work of another. All in all, it was a fun tournament and my deck did pretty much what I wanted it to do. If I could have had better hits with my Poison and Utilize opportunities, I might have pulled this one out.
