KlingonKlingon Civil War Starter in Orlando
Introduction
This was a Klingon Civil War! It's a sorta fun tournament using using only sealed Klingon starter decks with some Premier and Energize booster packs. Everyone had an equal chance of winning this one.

Round 1KlingonMaquisSean O'ReillyFL (-65)
Playing against Sean was interesting. It started out not so great when he completed his first mission in one try. He pulled Athos IV and was able to pull and play Ro Laren, Maquis Sympathizer. Her skill set and ability were a big asset to Sean the whole game. I followed on my turn and was able to complete my first mission in one try as well. Tense Negotiations didn't do anything as Gowron was in the attempt. After that though, things pretty much went in Sean's favor. He was able to hit me with just the right dilemmas that I didn't have skills for. He kept me out of the rest of the game and went on to complete both his remaining missions before I could even finish my second. This one was a full loss, 35 - 100.

Round 2KlingonMartin DrakeFW (+70)
Martin got off to a little bit of a slow start, and was only able to do one of his missions this game, same as me in my first game. He played a duplicate dilemma on my second mission attempt so it was overcome. This allowed me to complete that in one try. After that, it was just a matter of plugging away at the third mission for the full win, 100 - 30.

Round 3KlingonJoseph BazemoreFL (-65)
Joe's dilemmas kept me pinned down pretty much the whole game. (pun intended) He was able to wall me with a couple of dilemmas that kept returning, and with the small dilemma piles in this type of format, was able to get them back into rotation repeatedly. My only moral victory was giving him Vastly Outnumbered on his first space mission attempt. He lost the five points and had to do all four of his missions for the win. Even so, he was still able to do all four while only allowing me one mission. This was a really one-sided battle. So Joe ended up with 130 - 35 for the full and complete devastation of the T-Ricks Klingon family.

Closing Thoughts
All in all, it wasn't a bad tournament. Probably not the most interesting one I've played, but it was free. All the decks and booster packs were provided. Plus, it was our Lower Decks release event so at least everyone got a shot at the Janeway promo foil. Besides, what else are you going to do with a half dozen sealed Klingon starter decks? - Don't answer!!!
