Mark Morris (BaronMorrath) Tournament Report - 2E Standard - Online Event 2012-04-02 - 12:00 AM Mirror TOS Achievement Deck 2.0 Introduction So another online tourny and another attempt to score numberous achievements. I kinda feel bad for my opponent's so next tournament ill bring a 'real deck' and show everyone what little skill i actually have :P by my calculations, this tournament nets me 12 achievements. :) Round 1 Ben Hosp FL (-95) I had no idea what to expect. I saw unicomplex and new he was gonna play a strong one. a subsequent tampering with time (Gullotine, TT and entanglement) let me know the rest. My deck was slow, very slow, until i started getting some of the bicycles, next time i have to remember to draw x2 each time i play a fed for earth and not to worry about discarding people with tacking into the wind in the deck. Ben was sailing past my rediculous consume dilemmas, i kinda played like a rookie putting way too many under. I did end the game with seven and that other dissident leader guy in my brig which was kinda funny (oh and janeway dead). I think it would have been a very different game if i had gotten a ship sooner. but my event set up was rediculous. i believe i could have drawn 9 extra and spend 5 extra on ben’s last attempt. This does make me want to investigate q/temporal decks more closely. though temporal incursion is just a pain on lackey :( Good luck the rest of the way ben and sorry about your SoS. Round 2 Johannes Klarhauser FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report So kaiser lays down ds9, which i am happy about because i know the cards pretty welll, or so it thought. I start out with a tacking into the wind which is great because i couldnt draw into a ship in the first game so i start right out and play it to get the enterprise. Second turn I play the enterpise and Kaiser reminds me that i need 4 personnel... of which i had 1... “Starting Over” discard the enterprise and a fiendish physician and draw 6 new cards. Later I would use temporal test subject to get Mccoy back. I did manage to play “Khan” for the first time ever against his promenade school which was pretty cool and got a causul recursion into his core to force the 110 victory. The deck played pretty much the gong show that it should, at one point adding 8 to the number of dilemmas i would draw and 4 to the ammount i could spend. (I am starting to like this Q fella) But in the end the dilemma pile just has too much consume (for the acheivement) that every mission becomes easier and easier. Memorable moments 1) Forgetting under siege odo has ‘DUAL” written and playing 3 dilemmas with the first being a wall “ODO vs we’ll never know + mugato + dangerous standoff” 2) Playing Farell to download spock, then playing spock at +2 to play marlena moreau??? Had a super fun game, thanks Kaiser! Mark's deck let him down, while my deck seemed to do what it was supposed to do. I got the Under Siege team to go, and sailed smoothly through my missions. Round 3 Chris Morse FW (+50) hilarious moments getting stranded by crippling attack. playing fiendish physician x3 tacking to get dauntless do download quantum to save stranded ship 11 events in play isabella stops the androids!!! draw 17 spend 13 Round 4 Thomas Kamiura FL (-100) unfortunately my deck was more of the same, though i probably got the most missions attempts out of this one. I set a new record with drawing 17 and spending 9 on a mission that had 4 under it. those q cards are getting more and more fun. There some dispute at one point as to whether shran (the dilemma one) could use his ability against my persistant wall while i had isabella in play, we decided that he was not longer facing in order to be about to be stopped, but in hindsight i think that was wrong. i did manage to stall tk for quite some time with some key dilemmas and skill tracking. which felt kinda good, but really just dragged out the inevitable. thanks again for fun game tk!
