FRAG (Ferengi Romulan Alliance of Greatness) |
Introduction |
Wow, so this is the first real life (non-online) Trek tournament I've played in, my first real-life tournament in about 8 years, and my first ID Draft! And I had a blast! Much thanks to Tyler (DJStormtrooper) for arranging this!
I got Ferenginar and Romulus in my mission pack. Unfortunately Romulus was a very common HQ, so it was hard to get many Romulans. I drafted plenty of Ferengi though, and NA (sodium?) peeps. I ended up with mostly Non-aligneds and Romulans guys, with just a few Ferengi splashed in. |

Round 1 | | Gerhard Hallgren | FW (+70) |
I went first. And...I've forgotten my opponent's name; sorry! This round my opponent played mostly Klingons and nonaligneds, though he had Romulus too. A crucial play occurred when he attempted with 10 at Transport Delegations and I used a combination of Mark of Gideon and Inequitable Exchange to remove all his CMD personnel, destaffing his Vor'cha ship and removing a key mission skill. While he was recovering from that little debacle, I finished my second mission. FW 70-0. |

Round 2 | | Richard New | TT (0) |
I went first. This round was against Richard, and was a mirror match, FER and ROM against FER and ROM. He had Assess Contamination, however, that really fiendish mission. I messed up his first attempt there when I got lucky and drew Oracle's Punishment, letting me choose to kill someone and eliminated a key skill. He switched to Mining Survey and plugged away at that for a while, eventually solving it. Meanwhile I Clashed at Chin'toka successfully, but got stymied while Investigating Iconia. Richard finished Mining Survey around the time time was called and moved back to Assess Contamination again. I managed to stop him on that final attempt, though, and we ended up with a Tie, 35-35. |

Round 3 | | Tyler Fultz | MW (+35) |
Tyler went first, and had TNG Earth and Romulus. He relied most on his FED guys. He started at Track Survivors, put a couple under, then switched to Investigate Alien Probe. An Insurrection there really hampered his efforts to solve, though. I managed to Investigate Iconia after being stymied several times. Around the time time was called, Tyler made a last big attempt IAP that failed when I used Repressed Message, which played his own One Step Ahead against him and got the full stop. I got one more turn since he went first, but was not quite able to solve Clash at Chin'toka, so I got the MW, 35-0. |
