Introduction
This is a long one.

Round 1StarfleetThomas SolwayFW (0)
Tournament Report for Online Tournament Game 1 vs. Tom Skolway I started with Quark and the Audits Spoils in my hand, as well as an At what cost. I used quark to download Brunt, and then on my third turn attempted in space with 2 personnel. This allowed me to get Brunt into my hand, and play a 4th turn AWC. This let me have somewhere around 9 personnel in play by the end of that turn. I went and attempted in space with 6, and managed to pull of the mission on the first attempt thanks to a Ferengi computer that helped unstop Nog, which meant I had all the skills and put my cunning at something stupid like 34 with 5 people. I quickly found my other two AWC and used the points from my first mission to play them, meaning I had a lot of people in play. Tom was having problems finding the personnel in his deck, but he sure was finding a lot of cards with pictures of people choking people. I decided to go for my 40 point mission next to delay the usefulness of his Delerium? . I had 4 programmers in play, so I had enough range on the Ent D to play more people every turn and go pick them up. After several turns of running into Sylvia and Whispers In the Dark, I finally decided to send some people to start working on Qualor II rendezvous at the same time. In the mean time, I stopped Toms attempts with a Inequitable Exchange which took his Morik, and then a Caretakers Guest/Gomtuu Combo, and then another Caretakers Guest. Taking Trip this time meaning he didn’t have the skills for the mission. I manages to fail the new dilemmas in Toms dilemma pile almost every time, but that actually worked in my favour since it reduced the impact of his Overwhelmed dilemma pile. I learned a new trick though. Lack of Preparation is a great dilemma in an Overwhelmed dilemma pile. My Pickpockets were almost useless. I tried the first two blind and they revealed events, the third one hit of course after a few caretakers guests, but I had so many people in play at that point the extra attributes weren’t that helpful. Mirror Nog is a beast. And when you play Peak Performance on him he is almost Lore Like at the last mission. (Except that he only costs 2 and has all the skills for the last mission by himself). FW 100-0

Round 2DS9Johannes KlarhauserFL (0)View opponent's Report
Next up Johannes – (I hope he’s not playing that capture deck he has posted in the deckbuilder) Man I really should have written this down right after our game instead of 2 weeks later. Johannes was out of the gate faster than I was and he had a lot of unstoppable guys. I managed to pull a caretakers guests and another dilemma, which was just enough.

Round 3KlingonDan HammanFL (0)
Game 3 Dan Hamman This was a race from the beginning. Dan was playing a pretty no-nonsense Klingon solver. I managed to stall him for a bit with a nice Caretakers/Gomtuu combo at his first space mission. (I got rid of Riker so he only had the 1 Diplo on Chang) Unfortunately I didn’t destaff the ship, so he was able to get back to his HQ. He limped around on the broken ship for a while though since he obviously didn’t want to give me my space dilemma back. Really he just out raced me. I played a bit cautiously and waited an extra turn before attempting my first mission. It did come down to my last turn though, I attempted Purchase moon with two different teams of about 7. I screwed up and put 3 geology in the first attempt though. The reason this was dumb was that he had just hit me with a Dangerous Climb last turn, and his dilemma pile was tiny at this point, so I should have put 2 of my 4 geo personnel in each attempt. It was a close game though. Dan happened to have one more turn than me because he went first.

Game 4 I had an amazing starting hand. 2 copies of AWC, my exocomp and a treasured collectibles, Nog and Gint, and another cheap Ferengi. First turn I drop Nog and Gint, and draw a couple of cards (one of which was These are the voyages). So when my opponent used Yelgruns ability on his second turn (he went first) I almost cried. I spent several turns digging for some of my accelerators, but I kept drawing 3 cost personnel and equipment instead. I eventually found a fajos menagerie, and I played it to download an equipment and draw 4 cards. But what I really played it to do was shuffle my deck, I was out attempting my first space mission. Luckily my opponent was getting stalled pretty good by my dilemmas (gomtuu, caretakers, ) one of the stops was pretty lucky since he just missed the attribute requirements by 1. I eventually found Solok, and played him for the 5 points. Then hit the accelerator and spent 30 counters that turn. After that he just couldn’t keep up since I had so many personnel out. Some Notes Pickpocket worked ¼ times and only worked that time because caretakers set it up. Grr that card never works blind. Don’t people put personnel in their decks anymore. I actually had a problem having enough treachery in play. Once I failed a dilemma requiring treachery, and once I failed a mission attempt at Qualor II (where Nog had been revealed to be Pel and Krax was stopped to lend a healing hand) Late in the game I attempted Falsify Distress signal with 2 personnel aboard the audits spoils just to get a Ferengi comp back into my had. Due to his use of TCS he drew 8 and spent spnt the counters on Left Behind. Maras and Solok disapeard to the delta quadrant (he was using a planet mission there) and were never seen from again. I forgot that he had scored 5 points early and I could have been spending one extra counter a couple of turns because of Cyrus Redblock on the Olarra. I’m starting to love Lwaxana. This game she gave Gint programming which let me limp the Enterprise from Purchase moon to Qualor II. Also, I realised that she can give Brunt Security and he will have all the skills for Qualor II. (And I noticed he has all the skills for Falsify distress signal.)

Round 5DS9Robert DawsonFW (0)
Game 5 Robert Dawson I managed to get a god hand against Robert. There was a 5 point scorer, an excomp and an at what cost, and a Treasured Collectibles. I was attempting Aquire Illicit with 6 personnel on turn 2. He couldn’t catch up to that blistering speed out of the gate. If only I could make the deck do that every game.

Round 6TNGDS9Michael Van BreemenFW (0)View opponent's Report
Game 6 Michael Van Breeman I started with 3 equipment and two fajos menagerie in my hand. Weird. So I dropped the 3 equipment and Krax and played a fajos to grab the exocomp and draw 3 cards to put me backa t 7 cards at the end of my turn. MVB played a Guinan on his second turn to give Jaresh Inyo points to grab some DS9 heavy hitters. Luckily that allowed me to use my At What Cost early, and I was attempting with 7 on my 3rd turn. My Ferengi got slammed by An Issue of Trust and Where no one has gone before. With a little Watch Your Step thrown in for good measure. Is spent a turn drawing some cards and playing a few more people. Two turns later I was able to double attempt my space mission using a mercenary ship and the olarra. The second crew of 5 got through the mission, but I unfortunately I had no range left on the Olarra, and I couldn’t beam over and staff the Merc ship because Cyrus redblock would lose his staffing icon. So I had to wait until next turn. To go to the planets. I was holding Micheal off pretty well at his first space mission, a nice combo was Inequitable Exchange grabbing his Weyoun, and then I randomly discarded my Weyoun from hand to Unwanted Guests. I started working on purchase moon with some double attempts, but Legacy kept stalling me. It hit 4/5 times, but the last time it missed, I took purchase moon, and then went to Qulaor II where I took some time to do some math and then set up for 3 attempts of 7,6 and 4. Turns out I didn’t need to spend so much time there because all I got was a Captains Holidy, Krem and Gaila happened to be in this team, so I solved the mission. We played out Micheals next turn, and he would have indeed solved his last mission for the win, so I skweaked out that one. Overall I went 4-2, and the two games I lost were by one turn. (I literally played them out). And I met some fun guys, so overall the tourney was pretty good to me. Next stop: Regionals! Also, I think people should take a look at some of those 1 cost dilemmas from extreme measures, I only put them in my pile because I had to get 10 cards from the set, but they seemed to hit just about everyone I played.
