Voyager Worlds Day 1 |
Introduction |
With limited time to build new decks, i decided to give the voyager deck another play. I figured the alpha rules would keep me from getting bored of it.
I can't believe the deck that qualified me for day two ended up going 1-2. Just oges to show that anything can happen in a race to the alpha quadrant tourney. |

Round 1 | | Mark Morris | FW (+30) |
Our personnel switched their strength with their cunning. Enabrain Tain became dumber than a rock. It looked like I was going to win this one easily, until mark stopped me something like 6 times at instruct advanced drone. Gav was captured, and I couldn't find my tricorder, so breaking the ice hit 3x. |

Round 2 | | John Corbett | FL (-25) |
Same rule as the last game. John attempted his space mission with 7, but for some reason when I played dilemmas I was thinking he had 6, so he completed it first try. Bonehead move #1. He went on to attempt assess contamination and then do it again with favour the bold. My dilemma pile managed to slow him down a bit, but bonehead move #2 meant that I couldn't pull of a win. I went and attempted Reestablish Neural with a crew that had enough stats to complete without john getting to draw any dilemmas. Unfortunately, I was so worried about remembering that I was using strength instead of cunning, I forgot to make sure I brought the mission skills.
This game proved that John could beat me without cheating ;) |

Round 3 | | Joel Skon | FL (-30) |
Joel and I switched dilemma piles which was fun, but as I had learned playing against Ben Hosp, if you know you are playing against an unfair terms pile, there are easy ways to beat it. I told Joel that he won because I build good dilemma piles ;) It was cool to meet him during the weekend, and see another good voyager build. |
