TOSBare Minimum Enterprise-B aka Is it Tuesday yet?
Introduction
Since I missed GenCon I wanted to run a Tacking Into the Wind release event and try out my new TOS Enterprise-B deck. After some fanagling I'm able to get the event scheduled and four people to show up to be sanctioned - thanks to Shanghai-ing Chris into playing. I was able to get a prize kit so everyone got an Ent-A Foil for their participation.

Round 1DS9Joshua SheetsFW (+55)View opponent's Report
Josh reveals Mouth Of The Wormhole (Deep Space 9) and four 40-point gamma quadrant missions, so clearly he's going for a 2-mission win as well. I see one Distant Exploration hit the table early, but Josh is mainly taking his time setting up and playing lots of really good people. He rolls through his space mission on the first attempt and I start getting nervous. Fortunately I'm able to stop him at his planet mission, which he cant re-attempt next turn. I start working on Wormhole, and solve on my second try, stopping the Ent-B for an extra 10. On my next turn I start working on Deliver Ancient Artifact. I'm able to stall with McCoy twice thanks to a Hard Time, so I get to re-use some dilemmas that were effective earlier - mainly Unfair Terms, which by playing twice, I'm able to kill some of Josh's better people. The game turns into a stop-fest, with me getting the occasional dilemma back. I'm finally able to whittle it down and win 100-45.

Round 2Chris JonesFW (+65)
Chris borrowed Josh's Terok Nor deck that he won the last local with, so I know the deck works. I get going relatively quickly, which is good because this Terok Nor deck is FAST. Fortunately, my dilemma pile is pretty stacked against low-cost people so I'm able to hold off Chris at Survey New World for a couple of turns while I solve Wormhole Negotiations. Chris finally manages to solve SNW because Jem'Hadar have sick strength, but fortunately I'm able to put together a WNOHGB combo at Kressari, buying me the time I need to solve Restore Errant Moon for the 100-35 win.

Round 3Samuel TruaxFW (+20)
Sam played Bajoran, which I havent played against a lot. I get stopped a few times while working on Wormhole and get a few people killed, but an ETU keeps Tragic Turn from wreaking too much havoc and I'm able to solve on my third attempt with a re-built crew. I head over to Restore Errant Moon, giving Sam a free Tragic Turn, but again my ETU keeps my crew mostly intact and I bury the mission on my first attempt. Meanwhile, Sam has worked his way through two missions and faces the choice of battling for points or going for a 3rd mission. He opts to battle me, setting up the guaranteed win on the next turn. However, I'm able to get some more people out on my turn and I attempt with six, giving him one, which he cant use, so I pull off the 100-80 win.
