Non-Virtual Cadets |
Introduction |
I was running a cadet deck that didn't preform as well as I had hoped. |

Round 1 | | Ben Paulsen | ML (0)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Ben was playing Mirror Starfleet, another fairly quick solver, but both of us got off to slower starts than we had hoped. I didn't have a single cadet in my opening hand, and had to start attempting one of my planets before finally drawing into them. Ben was able to complete his space mission first, and although I was eventually able to complete Practice Orbital Maneuvers, it was too little too late. |
First matchup was between Greg and myself. As soon as I saw him plop out cadet mission, I said gonna be a fast game. I was actually wrong. Greg was not able to get the cadets to do his space mission in timely fashion. I was not drawing my events or ships, so bad draw for both of us. Greg completed his space mission after several attempts (timely draw of Psychokinetic Control took away his security from Cadets). He was unable to complete planet mission. I completed Space/Planet and almost got full win turn before timed out. Mod win 1st round. Note- no Optimism played/drawn in this game. |

Round 2 | | Michael Van Breemen | FL (0)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
MvB was running a Bajoran deck that had only five personnel, and used three Covenants to pump one up ridiculously high. His goal with his dilemma pile was to consume everything early but a wall combo (Entanglement, The Clown: Guillotine, and Dignitaries and Witnesses). I managed to get two missions done while he set up both his personnel and dilemma pile, and would have had a fifty/fifty shot of getting through his combo on my next turn, but he got his hand set up and I wasn't able to draw the dilemmas to stop his two personnel mission completing shenanigans. |
He's playing Cadets but I was successful in picking off Leyton at the cadet mission, which makes playing Dignitaries and Witnesses far more successful. The next mission attempt, I wasn't able to kill any Leadership but with Greg's playing of Escape, I was able to take out Original Thinker Kirk from his hand which was awesome. Thankfully, I was able to luck through my missions for the win. |

Round 3 | | Michael O'Shogay | FL (0) |
Michael was running a Voyager deck with a bunch of non-aligned skill cheating guys. It was a close game, but he was able to complete his last mission the turn after stopping my eighteen man attempt on my third mission (He had Unexpecteds up to draw into his Timescapes, so I sent everyone.) |
