Rogue Shindler (SirRogue) Tournament Report - Tr Tribbles 2012-01-01 - 08:00 PM Skittles - 2012 Phoenix Tournament Edition Introduction The Tribbles theme for the day was extra points if you qualified for Rainbow, and also if you didn't Poison, Discard, Rescue, or Copy all day. I based my deck on an idea of Charlie's, using Score to score on myself and stocking my 10k and 100k with clones to give me more chances of playing high numbers and Score on myself. Just enough other stuff to qualify for Rainbow. Round 1 () Lots of scoring on myself for piddly points. TK goes out. Round 2 () Poison and Discard come out by others, despite the theme. Okay, haters, let's play. Round 3 () Score continues to flounder for nothing, I can't get the right cards together, while the non-theme players, Matt and TK, start to pull away from the rest of us trying to keep with the theme. Round 4 () Dan has a chance to go out, but doesn't, because he doesn't have any points. Instead, Matt goes out, securing first and second for the poo pooers, TK and Matt. Luckily, the extra time from Dan let me get a 100k Score in on myself, propelling me into third at Tribbles. The bonus from that gave me enough bonus points on the day to pass TK and Matt as the Phoenix tournament champion, thanks to all my theme adherence. WIN!
