Introduction |
This was my first time as TD and I loved it. There were only four of us but we had a relaxing, fun blast!
We met at Dunn Bros in Hudson and joked around, ate lunch and played some cards on a cold Spring day.
This experience instills my desire to host a Tournament each and every month. I hope as time goes by we still have the low-key venue with more people to joke and have fun with.
Thanks to Kris, Ben and Brandon for coming out to support this tourney and have some fun! |

Even after mindmage not being able to use Spock or Sarek and Dukating his discard pile over and over AND having to dump his entire hand with [card]The Dreamer and the Dream[/card], he still won. Grrr. |
Neuters Sarek by making it so he can't use his skills to solve missions then he makes it so that I have to discard cards from hand to use Spock's skills on missions. It was a fun game and that's really all I care about. |

This is a pretty good Cardassian deck. It grabs personnel and thows them in his brig which I of course had no defense for seeing as my big-eared Oompa Loompas were more interested in solving missions and of course, turning a profit. ~sigh~ |
The Spoon-Heads definitely made it quite difficult for Dan's little trolls to complete anything. Some great dilemma draws made for plenty of well packaged combinations, resulting in plenty of stops and/or kills with very few cards. Then with Dan's trolls stopped on a planet two turns in a row I just pistol whipped with Arrest Order both turns and took his key personnel. Evek, Agent of Cardassian Justice, snagged another key guy. Dan did mute Dukat's skills with Sluggo which of course did not make me a happy camper. However, once I had three trolls in my brig I threw down Prison Compound for 10pts, doubled up on Quite a Coincidence, and then Entek'd one of the prisoners to get 20pts and blow-up Sluggo. The rest was all mission solving.
Thanks Waso, we'll have to do a rematch with both of these decks soon. |

In this one, LORE went easy on me. I mean come on, Borg! He didn't assimilate any of my troll nuggets yet still gave me the one-two punch by solving mission after mission. This was the closest I had actually gotten though to winning with 70 points but I was a Security man down and made LORE actually go for the 16 different skill mission. |
Thunder Dan was dealing Ferengi and bought himself 3 turns with an early Casual Recursion while I dug through my whole deck for 2 more Annexation Drones. Unfortunately, he ran outta gas when I stopped mission skills late, all but securing the victory for the Collective. FW 100-70. |
