TNGThe Epitaph Read Only One Word... Pals
Introduction
With no desire to further handicap myself at this RttAQ tournament by playing an Academy deck, I just ran a TNG build that I've been working on which was heavily inspired by a couple former World Champions. Unsurprisingly, the design proved just as effective for me as it had been for them.

Round 1TNGDavid KuckFW (+100)
Hot Rod was running his NACC Cadet deck but got "the worst rule ever" (#8), which left him effectively outpaced as every card played past his second was at cost +2. With his speed deck stuck in the mud, I was able to plow through three missions in what ended up being a route. FW 100-0.

Round 2TNGAsita GoonewardenaFW (+65)
The Goon was piloting an interesting Cadet based battle deck but, like Hot Rod, also got "the worst rule ever" (#8). With him struggling to get staffing and battle cards into play, I sneakily earned a quick count win by double dipping with Kirk in space. FW 100-35.

Round 3KlingonRomulanJosh GraceFW (+100)
The Guru was playing a dual HQ K'mtar / At An Impass / Unseen Manipulations deck that utilized a nasty Tragic pile. With neither player's assigned rules impacting the outcome, I attempted wisely and deftly dodged 2 Dreamers to take one from my old adversary. FW 100-0.

Round 4KlingonMike HarringtonFL (-40)
The Natural was rocking a Kruge / B'aht Qul Challenge design, and was awarded "the gawd rule" (#1) this round which let him select his opening hand. Despite the huge disadvantage against The Greatest of All Time, we went wire to wire in what was another match for the ages. FL 100-60.
