HirogenTwo Barrels... and He's Going Down Again
Introduction
Following a successful opening attempt with Hirogen at the local level in September, I retooled my Delta Quadrant mission solver for a second test drive online. The recent refinements proved to be largely hit or miss, and unsurprisingly my tournament results effectively mirrored those sentiments.

Round 1HirogenRem BoonFW (+65)
The Blue Meanie was also utilizing Hirogen, but without a Q's Tent: Civil War was unable to stop my barrage of first turn personnel downloads. After I worked my way through Assist Cooperative, I stole one of his copies of Secure Station a turn later and the remainder of the match was academic. FW 100-35.

Round 2BajoranCardassianJon CarterFL (-60)View opponent's Report
Dr. Death was employing Bajoran / Cardassian, and slowed my progress early via General Quarters and You Are a Monument. Despite doing some damage in the Gamma Quadrant with The Cloud and Gomtuu Shockwave, hitting a Cytherians late delayed me long enough for him to finish his 2-mission win. FL 100-40.

Round 3BajoranFederationDaniel MattesonFW (+5)
The Gunslinger was orchestrating First Contact Feds, and quickly dialed in Geordi's Ocular Implants to peek at dilemmas. With a victory all but secure on my next attempt at Prevent Annihilation, his Metaphasic Particles infused upset bid was somehow stymied by a lucky random selection on The Aresnal: Divided. FW 100-95.

Round 4RomulanJohn Paul VeaseyFW (+15)
Viscera was captaining Romulan, but was hampered by the dilemmas seeded under Empok Nor via my Dyson Sphere Door. Hung up by a Dead End on the ground, In the Zone eventually bought me a turn to close out the match at Investigate Quantum Singularity as the countdown on Linguistic Legerdemain expired. FW 100-80.

Round 5RomulanAndrey GusevFL (-37)
The Giant Killer was running Romulan, and tore through my dilemmas thanks to attribute boosted non-uniques. Following heavy point loss from The Higher... the Fewer and Hazardous Duty, I fell victim to a Personal Duty / Friendly Fire combo shortly before he took the hard fought win at Investigate Raid. FL 100-63.

Closing Thoughts
General Quarters and You Are a Monument proved to be noteworthy obstacles, but having next to no offensive capabilities seemed the most concerning. In light of a humbling 3-2 mark that could have easily ended as poorly as 1-4, I will need to shore up this weakness before trotting out this design again.
