I've Got Faith to Believe... I Can do Anything |
Introduction |
With the Online League rolling back into Traditional territory this month and only needing a sole Starfleet usage to earn the elusive Straight & Steady achievement, I retooled last year's design and took to the airwaves. Armed with both speed and design familiarity, this medal chase fittingly ended on a high note. |

Round 1 | | Anastasia Kalashnikova | FW (+40) |
AK-47 was also employing Starfleet, and lost the race to space thanks to Shocking Betrayal and a double shot of Hard Time. After an AWC? fueled solve at Salvage Borg Ship, I held him up at Eliminate Sphere Network with an Outclassed shortly before Data & Co. pushed through an Old Differences on the ground to win it. FW 100-60. |

Round 2 | | Michael Van Breemen | FW (+100) |
The People's Champ was piloting Dominion / Maquis, but struggled to land kills with dilemmas as Phlox was working overtime. Despite solving my missions in reverse order, Exceed Engine Output provided the necessary reinforcements to knock out Automated Repair Station, and the remainder of the match was academic. FW 100-0. |

|
Round 3 | | Ted Reebel | FW (+70) |
T-Rex was schooling me on Voyager, and cruised through Explore Micro-Wormhole once he finally got rolling. However, a turn 1 Sight For Sore Eyes meant I was piling up personnel at a much faster rate, and after a mid-game Phoenix launch Daniels shrugged off a Rogue Borg Ambush at Retrieve Material to notch the victory. FW 100-30. |
|
|
Round 4 | | J | FW (+100) |
Shattered Vinyl was also rocking Voyager, but lost a hand full of All-Stars in his initial attempt thanks to Dreamer and never recovered. Despite getting delayed in space by Gomtuu Shock Wave and Center of Attention, Hoshi and Trip raised the 'Fleet and led a barrage of personnel through both planets to claim victory once more. FW 100-0. |

Closing Thoughts |
Starfleet has long been a favorite affiliation of mine, but finding ways to win with them has historically proven difficult. It's a shame that victories didn't start piling up until nearly the end of the achievement road, as now I will most certainly pass over these guys in order to pursue other goals.
