That Place Totally Blows... My Mind |
Introduction |
Intend on keeping my local league bonus point streak intact for a fourth straight year, I dug deep for an underplayed affiliation as yet another season of the T2E Tough Enough League drew to a close. Sticking with the day's Armstrong casting achievement theme, I dialed up Zombieland and hoped for the best. |
|
Round 1 | | Ben Johnson | FW (+70) |
Mankind was packing Tal Shiar Romulans, but lost a trio of All-Stars to Volcanic Eruption and never fully recovered. Following a first turn download chain aided by his lack of Q's Tent: Civil War, I cobbled together a 2-mission win at Cure Deadly Virus after waiting out the countdown on a Friendly Fire. FW 100-30. |

Round 2 | | Robert Petersen | FW (+70) |
The Prodigy was administering Cardassian capture, and struggled to collect his Delta Quadrant captives from the onset. Despite getting stuck behind another Executive Authorization, a pair of Thaden's bypassed The Cloud in space before Cyrus points powered me through a Dead End at Restore Victims. FW 100-30. |

Round 3 | | Barry Windschitl | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
The Genius was also trying Vidiian, but struggled with free reports as Penk, Cyrus, and Nadirum teamed up to eliminate his Equinox early. A mission theft at Investigate Quantum Singularity added insult to injury, and solving the conjoined Research Phage after he had cleared it out all but sealed his fate. FW 100-0. |
Kris blew up my Equinox on turn one or two, so I was pretty much hobbled during this one. |

Closing Thoughts |
While far from game breaking, the fact that Vidiian rely heavily on universal personnel proved to be an advantage against the array of Arsenal themed dilemmas I saw today. Even though I will likely never run this affiliation again, it's nice to count myself amongst the few who have walked off as winners with the walking dead. |
