I Feel Like I'm Babysitting... Except I'm Not Getting Paid |
Introduction |
Intent on putting my latest iteration of Legitimate Leader Klingons through the ringer, I jumped into Dr. Death's Online Regional event to see how the build measured up once the surprise factor had worn off. While the deck was as effective as ever, it's pilots focus left much to be desired over the course of this tournament. |
Round 1 | | Matt Kirk | FW (+99) |
Mr. Charisma was testing out a Cardassian / Dominion creation, and seemed to be searching for a ship for much of the match as he didn't have a site where he could download one. Losing points to Lack of Preparation and The Higher... The Fewer, I cleared out a third mission before he could really get rolling. FW 100-1. |

Round 2 | | Niall Matthew | FW (+50) |
The Midnight Rider was schooling me on Starfleet paired with Parallax Arguers, but was slowed to a crawl by Chula: The Game and a double shot of FLI / RAGS. After digging for Divok to handle a Tribble infestation, Picard & Co. eventually cleared Wormhole Negotiations to win this laugh filled affair. FW 100-50. |
Round 3 | | John Paul Veasey | FL (-50) |
Viscera was orchestrating a Federation / Cardassian treaty build, and seemed to narrowly clear dilemmas such as Founder's Secret and Hanonian Land Eel at will. Losing K'ChiQ and Suna to Denevan Neural Parasites early made Quantum Incursions nearly impassable, and he locked up the win with a well placed Friendly Fire. FL 100-50. |
Round 4 | | Daniel Matteson | FW (+100) |
The Gunslinger was looking to movie based mains and Son'a, but struggled to find staffing for the Enterprise E from the onset. Despite losing an entire away team to a Plague Ship, I rebuilt fast enough to solve Distress Mission for 50 shortly before nailing down the 2-mission win at Pegasus Search while he was held up by The Cloud. FW 100-0. |

Closing Thoughts |
Summer in The Land of 10,000 Champions means all the cards get put away and the golf clubs come out. While I will occasionally visit the front page and the forums as a distraction, for the most part I am officially on hiatus until the temperatures drop once again in the fall. |
