KlingonThose Are My Friends... The Goonies
Introduction
Between birthday dinners with The Chan Dynasty and other Chicago-land friends, I made it over for Day 2 of American Nationals to bear witness to what was another solid performance by Money, Inc.'s Chairman of the Board Kevin Jaeger.

Round 1BorgJoshua SheetsFW (+100)
The Nomad was schooling me on Borg, but didn't draw a Queen until turn 3 whereas I T'ong dropped on turn 2 and was off to the races. Quantum Incursions stopped me 4 times over the course of the game, but I then Bingo-style covered it all and smashed through Reported Activity. Hilariously, he then blew up his own Borg Cube on a Gomtuu Shockwave right before my mega crew hopped a second helping of QI to win it. FW 100-0.

Round 2BorgJeremy HuthFL (-65)
Hardcore was also dealing Borg, and locked me down hard with new dilemmas. Hitting an old school Borg Ship and watching him Retask it was something straight outta 2000, and sadly forced me to return a ship with crew to hand. That proved the difference, as his Assimilate Homeworld fired right before I could pass another helping of QI to solve Wormhole Negotiations. FL 100-45.

Round 3KlingonBen HospFW (+5)
Hell Raiser was experimenting with 22nd Century Klingons, and started capturing my dudes almost immediately. Clearing a Ghost of Cyrus Ramsey put me at 35 points after some minor point loss, but I countered by destroying his I.K.C. Fek'lhr to deny him Cytherians points. While things got much closer than I anticipated on his final turn, I fired off an Arbiter of Succession to wrap up Distress Mission and the match. FW 100-85.

Round 4FederationMark MustonFW (+25)
The Basement was captaining TNG Federation, and stymied my 2-mission win with an early Altonian Brain Teaser. I pushed him into 3-mission land as well shortly thereafter thanks to Edo Probe, and had the advantage with Suna and K'chiQ dialing skills in at will. On the game's final turn, he went to detention on Chula: The Game while I cleared his copy of it via Zegov to win it. FW 100-75.

Closing Thoughts
Quantum Incursions was everywhere today and the new dilemmas set me back a bit. Still, it was awesome playing against new folks from across the country!
