A Truncated Revolution. |
Introduction |
New Years Revolution IX: The Revolution is Here Again. I made it down to at least get in part or most of the gig before heading back north to dodge a nasty cold front (icy roads, blowing and drifting snow.... None of which I ran into until I was about 5 miles from home...). The day was still Great regardless of dodging possible winter weather woes; I got a belly full of some Really good steak, And help a fledgling player out While getting some foils I'm chasing after (100000 assimilate foil! YES!). |
|
Round 1 | | Mike Harrington | FL (-65) |
I got paired against Mikey first round. Normally this is bad news since I have yet to get one up on him, but at least I happened into a "Bounty Match". The Bounty? Why a another Tribbles foil I'm looking for. The game didn't go my way, but we coined a new Trek Tech phrase that now needs some tech to attach to it. |

Round 2 | | Loren Burr | FW (+30) |
The next game saw me get paired with another guy who was possibly going to have to bail early. I think this is my first game against Loren, and it came down to the wire. My skill shortages made his dilemmas hit basly enough on me, but I was able to hold him back with some "return salvos" from my dilemma pile. I was able to net a win 100-70. |

Round 3 | | Missed Game | MG (0) |
I'm driving and thinking "Where's all the crap weather I was afraid of?" The wind was coming the wrogn direction for the cold front to have passed while I was south of Little Falls, and I just counted my blessings. |

|
Round 4 | | Missed Game | MG (0) |
Home in one piece, with my foily acquisitions... |

Closing Thoughts |
I would have liked to have been able to stay without fear of getting ditched, but there's always the next gig, which I plan to get the weekend off for (and bring some decks for achievements that I don't yet have). |
