"I know it's already over, already over now". TNG Romulans. |
Introduction |
Instead of going with my Klingon deck of the last two gigs, I went with Romulans with their Trusty FemBots (Yes, All of my 'Droids were Female.... at least when I remembered to assign them genders and Classes). This would get me Both TNG Rom achievements, and get me Subs for Dr. Soong and Alidair Jarok. It worked pretty well, even without having Soong out for most games, but more practice with this deck would have helped (and maybe some more drawing stuff).

Round 1 | | Kevin Jaeger | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
First Game, Roughest Game. Kev tortured three of my guys to death, and put me at -21. I decided that I would just throw in the towel early and gather myself back up for the next three rounds. Rough Game, Kev. |
got over to Romulus, beamed in and captured guys. Tortured them so hard Barry felt it and conceded. |

Round 2 | | Justin Kaufman | FW (+85)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
As Justin said, his only points came from his guys going on a trip. My dilemmas Might have destroyed one of his ships, but I don't remember right off. Good Game, Justin. |
I scored my only points off a Cytherians. |

Round 3 | | Jason Tang | FW (+67) |
This game saw two temporary allies facing off against each other. Jason was piloting DS9 Cardassians, and churning out people and ships (including Two Keldon Advanceds) to go after his missions. His War Machine (ASP/ DWE) was running full force and churning out people. The Big turning point came when he started facing dilemmas. During this game, I took down Three of his ships (two Keldons and a Hideki), thus killed Numerous people, and stalled him further with Massive point loss (I had him down 27 points with LoP, Edo Probe, and Th...TF). At one point, I had to dig for the skills to get though Emergency conversion to get a mission that I needed, but I was able to get the skills and plow through for the win. Good Game, Jason. |

Round 4 | | Matthew Hayes | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This was the exact Opposite of my first round. We both got our stuff running, but Matt's fatal play was taking the Regency 1 out to his first space mission. The Pride of the Fleet ended up sent to the bone yard by the dilemmas under that mission, and left him without the necessary centerpiece of his deck. He ended up conceding, and that was that. I apologize for blowing up another ship of yours. Good Game, Matt. |
Barry's dilemma combo decimated me here, paired with a very focused Battle Bridge side deck of Tactics of (certain) doom! Kudos on the combination, but, man, horribly painful to encounter. IIRC, Precision Piloting, Warp Bubble Mishap, and The Cloud melded to Evasive Manuevers x many. Ouch!!! It doesn't help that the KCA decktype only has two personnel with Astrophysics available to it (Professor Sisko and Rukor...and yes, he's universal). Methinks they need at least two other Astrophysics personnel at the bare minimum. Hmmmm??? Once Regency One was destroyed with all hands, I conceded here as well, as I didn't really care to sit and watch my opponent play the game singlehandedly. |

Closing Thoughts |
Like I said earlier, more practice and more draw engines are needed to really shape this into a well-oiled machine. The Dilemmas Really helped out here, and I thank Kevin for the pointers on how to properly use some of the newer ones that came out in Crossover. |
