TerranSong From the Universe: "I Confess, I'm Always Afraid, Always Ashamed, Of what's inside me. " TOS Terran Empire 1.1
Introduction
This was to be the second outing of my TOS Terran Empire deck. The deck, while having options for boo-coo bonus points, Still comes up short against the speed power houses of the TNG- based builds. This was another Hard lesson in why one shouldn't bring a Mirror Dagger to a Phaser fight.

Round 1BajoranFederationKevin JaegerFL (-45)View opponent's Report
The first thing I noticed was how many ways Kev had to get free guys out; This did not bode well for me in any way. I played conservatively, and worked to draw and play as many bodies as possible before going out conquering things. Once I lost the Defiant to an angry (maybe Hangry?) "God", I was able to get my one mission score for the game. By this time, Kev was already into his second mission, and forced to get a third. That ended up being trivial as he was able to coast through one combo, and open up the Dead End mission to get the win.

Round 2VidiianJustin KaufmanFW (+69)
This was to be just a race to 100 points, as neither of us had AQ missions. While Justin's Zombies battled against my dilemmas and point loss, I was able to use my Empire's intimidation to get a two-mission win.

Round 3FederationMark MustonFL (-50)
Another match versus speed AQ. Another loss 50-100 due to the hoops MQ has to jump through just to get anywhere. He had good combo-play, and was able to outpace me in the free report stuff.

Closing Thoughts
This is not yet a deck for the big leagues, and now I will focus some spare time on doing what I am for 2E: Get a couple of high-level decks on stand by for the big gigs. I was going to go with something more TNG-based based on their speed, but figures this might be able to play better than it did. One thing that Does get me about the Mirror block stuff is the Massive disadvantage it has when compared to other, speedier, decks. Sure, these guys get good bonus points from the various other objectives, but that More cards they need to work with, AND they have No Way to score an easy three mission, or even two missions, win. This is a Huge design flaw that should be looked at if these factions are to have a shot at having a top-level speed solver.
