Introduction |
As soon as I saw that there was going to be a regional tournament near Indianapolis, I started asking all of the Chicago playgroup if they were going. I was amazed at how many emphatic yeses that I heard. With that, #illinoisinvadesindiana was born. I came with a newly updated version of the Starfleet deck that I played at the Chicago regional. Big thanks to Ed Pigman for his insights. |

Round 1 | | Joshua Sheets | MW (-5) |
It took me a while to realize what Josh was trying to do with this deck. After a lot of thinking, I realized it was a Romulan Long Journey Home deck. Josh's dilemmas kept me pretty well locked. We went to time and I got the modified win only due to the fact that I had a space and a planet mission completed. 65-70 |

Round 2 | | Casey Wickum | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Casey has TOS down to a science. I just couldn't draw the dilemmas I needed to stop him. He ran over me. |
Mike was running a Starfleet deck with a mix of Damaged and Future SF people. I went off to a very quick start with a solid opening hand and was off the the races before he had a decent amount of people to get rolling. He ran into a bit of a navigation problem at his 40 point mission which stalled him quite a bit. Combined with cheesy bouncing dilemmas and the usual jazz, Mike wasn't able to get his legs behind him. |
|
Round 3 | | Corbin Johnson | FW (+45) |
Corbin really likes his DS9 or Earth-S9, and his Earth-S9 today was running on all cylinders. I was just really lucky that I was able to skill track his personnel pretty well and get some very fortuitous stops. It was a super close race that I was able to finish first thanks to Karyn Archer. |

Round 4 | | Carl Blackford | FW (+60) |
Carl was the only Indiana native that I was able to play. I was really happy to get to play against some foreign meta. Carl was playing a basic DMZ Maquis build. My In Developments were just able to totally lock down Carl's mission attempts, and I was able to use Tacking to destroy For The Cause twice to slow him down even more. That was all she wrote. |
