A Continuing Civilian Experiment |
Introduction |
I just wanted to play Revised so that I never have to again. It is a mess and inevitably someone playing is unhappy. I played a TNG Followers of the One/War Council deck with Cyrus Redblock adding kills to my murder dilemmas. |
|
Round 1 | | John Paul Veasey | FW (+35) |
I was able to get all of my key personnel out early, including NA Data on turn one. With Cyrus murdering people and War Council keeping me flush with cards, I was able to stay ahead of John and get the win. |
|
|
Round 2 | | Rogue Shindler | FW (+45) |
My murdering was giving Rogue a ton of problems and gave me the time to get Lore and his Borg friends where they needed to go. |
|
|
Round 3 | | Jeremy Huth | FL (-90) |
Jeremy's Genetronic Replicator trumped my murder dilemmas. That's all she wrote. |

Round 4 | | Mo | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
I don't want to talk about this game. |
This game was a spur of the moment, gentleman's agreement style game. We were both in the chatroom and had time to play, so we agreed to use our tourney decks and save the score for future use if we ended up paired together in later rounds.
He was playing a TNG Rogue Borg, Mercenary Ship and War Council. First turn he played a bunch of guys and passed. My first turn I did my downloading (Worf, Chaotica, RRD>Riker). I decided to hold off on ASP since I drew into Troi and Inge Eiger and could play them immediately. So with those guys and my other two mission specialists I attempted Evade Dominion Squadron.
First up was an Edo Probe. I hesitated for a moment... Did he pick this as the first mission I would attempt? Figuring I would risk the 10 points I went ahead with the attempt. Next up was Reluctant Informant, which Troi empathed away. Last dilemma was a misseeded planet dilemma. And with that I moved to the GQ and ended my first turn with 50 points. Huzzah! Off to a roaring start.
Next turn he did his TNG thing, dropping a bunch of dudes and drawing, then he decided to attempt one of his space missions with the Husnock Ship. He walked through Murder Investigation without hitting a Security, but got nailed by Ankari Spirits. Four people dead before he could evacuate the ship, nut that destaffed him and he was dead in the water.
On my turn I attempted my GQ mission. With nothing but Dead End and planet dilemmas, I walked right through. Unfortunately I didn't have the skills so the mission remained unsolved. Back to the AQ I went to pick up more people.
On his turn he gave an attempt but couldn't pass my Implication. Two more people dead.
My next turn was quick: report an Akira and another personnel, move to the DQ.
On his following turn, he sent down 10 personnel to attempt Foster New Collective but ran into Murder Investigation taking out 6 personnel. Unscientific Method couldn't find a SCIENCE personnel left, but he didn't have the Cunning so he was stopped.
On my turn I attempted with a handful of people on the Akira first. They managed to slog through his dilemmas only stopping a couple people with The Arsenal Divided. My Enterprise crew was standing ready to complete: (40 points plus 15 from the Off- Zel brought me up to 105). Much to my surprise, he didn't have a Big Picture handy so the game was mine: 105-0 |

Closing Thoughts |
Thank god that is over. No more Revised for me. |
