OTF Delta Fed's |
Introduction |
I decided to try a delta Fed's deck mainly because i've not really played them before and because they probably have more skills between them than the Enterprise-D crew!
The tournament itself was worth the 700 mile round trip as i had a great time. I would like to thank all that attended for that and of Congrats on the win Danny. |

Round 2 | | Unjustly Banned | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This game i found myself up against a Hirogen deck and this immediatly had me worried as i've seen how effective they can be with certain tactics! All was fairly normal until James hit my nicest combo but after a few turns he thought if im going down you're coming with me! So he destroyed the Exquinox and i was weft wait for a replacment ship, that allowed James ample time to complete his missions. |
Kev was playing Equinox, which was in the same quadrant as my Hirogen so I was looking forward to some battles. It appeared as if Kev was thinking the same (especially as there was only one mission between our two outposts), so he spent an extra turn or two playing it safe and hiding. That gave me time to build up my personnel, so I attempted one of my three copies of Secure Station. Kev's combo featured three dilemmas that were placed on the ship and had ongoing effects. I had the skills to beat two of them, but failed to cure Aphasia Device after Jorik (with Biology and Medical) got disabled by it.
Over the next few turns, I drew in vain looking for more Biology/Medical personnel while my crew of 8 were gradually disabled. I even beamed some more personnel onto the ship to buy myself another couple of turns before everyone died. Naturally, I drew them the turn after about 15 personnel bit the dust. Before they did die though, Kev made the mistake of leaving his Equinox next to my two Hirogen ships. I had to sacrifice Decaren by beaming him aboard the quarantined ship (so I could start the battle), but I blew Kev's Equinox up. With virtually all of our personnel killed, we were effectivly back to square one. I made a quicker recovery, and pulled out the win.

Round 3 | | Paddy Tye | FL (-81)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This game i was less worried because i had the delta quad to myself. And things started quite smoothly that is until i encountered V'ger! V'ger destroyed Voyager and after that i was pretty much an observer due to my lack of alternate ships. |
Kev was playing a high skill Voyager deck but got burned by V'Ger eating his only ship and was sat waiting to draw another one. I ploughed on and got 3 missions done for a 105-19 Full Win. |

Round 4 | | Marcus Smith | FW (+45)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
In this game my deck seamed to start quite slowly compared to Marcus' deck. By the time i got going i was around 50 points behind but my (place on ship) combo worked a treat, by then i had a good crew and managed to complete my mission with only a few (lucky) loses. |
Kevin was playing DQ Feds which allowed him to super-team past my poorly-selected combos (oh, for a Higher… The Fewer!). By contrast, my warbird was quickly stung by a deadly combo of his, and my personnel found themselves trapped aboard a ship of babbling death with an Aphasia device taking the wits of those who weren't killed by the Macrovirus. Credit to the Romulans though - they did manage to complete the mission and begin the next one before they all succumbed. Luckily my GUYS probed successfully four or five times in this game, getting me some bonus points to supplement the meagre mission points - otherwise the margin of Kev's wn would have been even greater. Well played, sir. |
