OTF Cardi/Dom Treaty Deck |
Introduction |
Playing my Cardi/Dom Treaty deck.
This tournament was once again a good exercise in TTP if not directly wining me games, taking games that might have been close and blowing them out. |
|
Round 1 | | Julia Y-F Chen | FW (+67) |
So travel 220km to play the other Vancouverite I brought with me in the first round. :)
Jules was playing her ever loved Cardis as she works on the title for playing them 10 times.
We started out duping 2 missions Cardasia and Clash at C... I thought about it beforehand if I see a battle bridge side deck don't red-shit in space turn one because a Gomttu shock wave will over power my emergency transport unit then I forgot it and did it any way... ship damaged I had to wait around for it to repair, lucky for me Jules was also running slow. We both started attempting again soon and I solved a space, then she solved a space and started in another stopped by dead end. I finished Earth and got a TTP hitting her main ship. She attempted Chash with a secondary ship but the reduced crew was unable to pass the scientific method I had started it with. I then blasted through Alter Records on my turn for the win 100-33. I think I would have gotten the win with out the TTP but it sure made it safer for me and meant I didn't have to worry about her catching me any time. |

Round 2 | | J | FW (+100) |
J was playing some strong Klingons with lots of ships with [SD] of personal and a pile of mission specialists for 50+ point missions.
My deck was running well despite a turn one stall of a horrible space line meaning I could not establish my remote supply depot at the strategic base until my second turn. I soon solved Alter Records earning my TTP, J with only one ship in play had to hide on his planets in fear of losing all his people forever, he attempted Kitamer but my anti med combo stalled him out there. I cleared a space down to the friendly fire. J got a second ship and baited out my TTP on his big faster one and 4 of his people. His slower ship started for Qo'nos to pick up the HC people. I solved earth & J got to the Klingon home-world out of range and found a dead end there. I solved my space for the win 100-0. I was ahead but losing his fast ship and some people really killed nay hope of catching up. |

Round 3 | | Huong Van | FW (+100) |
Playing a fed something deck he borrowed from J, mostly a 2e player still learning 1e.
I lost 10 points turn 1 to lack of prep with my early red-shirting at Security Briefing. went on to solve alter records turn 2 acquiring TTP, my deck really flies when I get a great draw AND my opponent isn't running General Quarters to slow down my DL's. With TTP in my hand this early he was forced to cower on earth and try to build up. Turn 3 I solved Security Briefing but lost more points to OH NO! for 55-0 total. He played HQ: secure HW on his turn and attempted earth to find a founders secret stopping him in his tracks. I flew over and solved our duped earth with my founders making it easy to clear the secret, I left my stronger people behind moved my ship away and noting no Q-ref and only one hidden agenda went fro the fun and battled his personal he revealed a defend home-world and DLed a few more people and a ship my people were much stronger though and stunned almost every one they faced mortally wounding Sarak, then Mr. Spock died when I had JUST enough, (by 2), Str left to still win the fight. On his turn with me at 95 points and his planet with people at it solved, he split his people between 2 ships all he could staff at the same time and moved away as he stopped moving I dropped a TTP on one. The other attempted and failed a gomttu. On my turn I destroyed the damaged ship leaving him zero personal in play, and attempted Clash stopping fro a DNA clues. My next turn I solved Clash fro the win 130-0. Did the TTP win me the game it's hard to say I had it so early that it effected all of his play I had a great start and was well ahead so no prolly not but it definitely made it a total blow out. |
