StarfleetBlock Starfleet 30 Attempt 1
Introduction
Ok a block tournament, we don't run very mainy of these around here yet the local players like compleat OTF or sealed better not having to build specilist decks, but that new decay achevemnt for block starfleet had every one asking me to run one so they could get it. Knowing this let me play a big of a meta game game. Ok so I was expecting most or all people to play Starfleet, knowing that and knowing I don't yet have an idea for a starfleet deck that actuly has any hope of beating a normal block deck I decided to take some risks to give me better odds of at least 3 good unduped missions, I seeded no earth, if my oponents did not bring earth to the table i would be unable to play any ships and only a few slaves to their planet. I also talored my dilemmas to try and hurt starfleet, lots of ship damage in space and Dal'rok+God at planets to try and wipe peopel out, they worked very well. I also having tried a larger mass drawign SF deck before decided to try and go close to 30 cards it was at 30 when I realized a few extra cards I needed then addedone extra absolute power set since as long as I get the pair they are a net gain of cards and could always be discards to the none 22nd temporal agents. No supprise really we went 6 for 6 on starfleet players, every one taking this oportunity to nab that player achevment.

Round 1StarfleetKurtis CorreiaFW (+40)View opponent's Report
SO I started out WAY faster then Kurtis he had a bad draw staring with about 3 or 4 of his 6 out of times in a large deck, and then a minor missread on ready to swim had him not realizing it was once per turn when he built the deck. Due to my lack of earth we only duped 3 missions leaving us each with 3 of our own though one of his was the anoying to attempt earth. I was dropping paired peopel in the past and slave girls fast, he was droppign slaves fast as well we both started with the boss man, but when i droped a 5 str one to his 4str oen I started some fights with a 7-4-5 on my 3 and 7-4-4 on his we would tie or I'd win each fight we tied first tehn I started killing his off. I realized my master plan to pass distracted god with Porthos and 8 int base guys was good but of the 3 8's I had one wasent human so I had a logn wait before I wanted to go attempt missions fearing this dillema a lot. i got to basicly the end of my deck got the archer to go with his puppy and went forward in time. and started flying to my un duped missions they only had 4-5 dilemmas where as the dups were all 7! I picked up my Orians and started attempting clearign the first planet with out to much trouble, the second i hit a quick dead end. By this time Kurtis had a large crew and everythign in place so he poped through and went for his unduped missions thanks to my poor choice of forgettign to put an anti redshirt dillemmas first he reshirted my first distracted, dalrok, god combo, because he died to the dalrok and already say the distraced he suspected a god and attemped again only when he was able to first move ships away, and he solved easily for 30 to my 35. The next turn I poped over to host meta shields gettign stalled unexpectedly when I lost my only exo/geo to the CS/geo filter and failed to pass microbrain. Kurtis was clearing earth with another dalrok combo but being cagey again he was saving his ship wich stalled the compleat and did let dalrok get an extra kill. I then worried about on dilemmas totaly didnt think about the most common follow up to microbrain the same dillema i planed to see behind it and dubble reshirted host failing a Linguestic at host with ZERO matching icons yay count down 5 :( knowing what I had at the dups and lookign at 2-3 turns just to move to them I decided to just wait it out and hope my dillemas would hold him. Kurtis solved either after a turn or 2 putting him at 60 to my 35, but he was depleated a bit and needed to recrew a bit as the count down was getting low he headed out to space and subspace shock wave, hit him stalling him out as 3 peopel died and the torpedo damage swaid no space for you. I was able to solve Host and then move to my dead ended planet still plenty of dilemmas but big crews and 1 minor delay later as daniels sent the crew back to the augment facility for a turn to ovoid a 2 turn friendly fire I was able to solve for the win 100 to 60. The not playing with earth risk payed off givig me 3 of my own missions to do not having to worrie about the horror seeded under the duped missions.

Round 2StarfleetBarbara CoppFW (+100)
Both me and Barb took a long time to travel out and that ment large crews so she passed my dalroks with ease dispite -1 to all atributes btu the the gods hit her hard she not having a Porthos out and the first mission she went to had dead end behind that god once she got a ship bakc out there, the next mission she went to same thing pass dalrok but lose a ship to god, before she coudl get another hsip out there I finished beating my way through her dilemmas at 3 of my unduped missions, (we only duped 2 this game), for the win 100-0.

Round 3RomulanStarfleetJames MonsebrotenFW (+100)View opponent's Report
My Nemisis James, we only duped 1 mission!!! but I saw romulus and a seeded mercenary ship and started to worrie expectign mostly SF ro maby the odd Raptor one only I had neglected strait and steady in my deck I could get in trouble if he got staff out to that thing. We both had below average draws, after a few turns of getting people in play James the sneaky devil dropped Mr. Section 31 flipped a HQ: defensive mesured and started to fight in 22nd San Fran, he was winnign and I was losing people slowly, luckly he rapidly drew bad and could only safely battle me for 2 turns as i was still dropping 2 SF a turn and he was reduced to 1 slave girl a turn, archers 8str was the final straw that saved me untill it finished out it's count down. VERY cool tech. So I got most fo the key stuf fi needed in play and ventured out on to the space line to start attempting, his dilemmas slowed me by Daniel L. with his SD of the columbia and a card play of the grappler to it on my next turn got past the scow a few turns of stall as Armus space stopped the wrong people for me, but I eventuly solved. James mean while came out to attempt as well he unfotunutly had no way to safely death with the Dalrok God combos this tiem i rembered to put a wall first to stop redshirting so he had a crew stranded slowly dieing off though no dilemmas left at apropreatly enough Save Stranded Crew ;) I continued to slowly work through his dilemmas as my second planet and after a side trip to pick up the Orians I had only 2 medical and 3 bio with a known med crisis under the mission BUT one of the med was Danica and shes a nurse,, one fo those last minuet cards I added to the deck so i attempted and it was 50/50 lucky fro me he hit the universal med/sci/bio guy and i passed the dilemma and solved the mission. Some time around here James was able to save the last few of his crew members but I had managed to kill all his Transporter Skill, and he was havign bad luck drawing in to any more. James also got the mercenary ship staffed up with a FERNEGI! and Silik and it and raptor one started hunting my ship the raptor had already finished off the Columbia. As I decided to spend an extra turn adn fly to the far end not freeing my slaves, it had 4 in sted of 3 dillemas, he was following me at a distance. and his main crew triped another dalrok combo loseing some people. I went to the Augment mission knowign i could use SD of otu of time to posibel break bad dilemmas and BOY was i glad i did as Distraced + God would have been horrable as armus had previously killed archer one of 2 base 8 int humans in my deck as I way flying there I had cycled my deck with iso mag though, and started drawing lookign fro archer. I needed to use the out of tiem trick because that combo was there, and i drew in to archer the very next turn useing TMW to drop him directly to my ship and pass the god while distracted thanks to Puppy Power 1 turn before his ships would have caught up taking my ship out causing me possible major problems, solving my mission for the win 100-0 though he had 2 missions one bare one with only a dead end left and I was going to be stranded so the score was not close but the game could have swung the other way purty fast had it not ended just then.

Closing Thoughts
ok Starfleet in block is REALLY fun when played against starfleet every ones decks had some difrent and unique design elements. Making for a fun and evenly matched enviroment.
