DominionWe are the Domminion of the Alph Quadrent; We don't need no stinking Jem'Hadar, we can has Son'a
Introduction
So working on the last affiliation Achievement i needed fro the play everything in both games today, Dominion. Now i dislike the Gama Quad, so i decided to play in the AQ, then there was that no jem'hadar achievement so i had to work around that, that meant pairing up with some NA i decided to go with Son'a/Baku. The theories behind the deck are solid but it did keep climbing in size to 80 cards I was worried about getting chains of horrible draws and I knew the deck normally did not take off until about turn 3, so it would be interesting, also i had little battle defense so any fleet deck would be a big problem. The Remote supple depot ETU tech was great one of the few things that Dominion has going for it.

So off to a an OK start but the deck plays SLOW, my first game with it probably not helping time ran out with me in the lead and in a solid potion to get a fw had we had more time, but any thing could have happened so in a way I'm glad it ended while I was ahead.

So Jules cut the deck and put 7 cards on the bottom I started out with a HORRIBLE draw but after a mutation of a mutation it improved to a good hand, when i did my first DL i took a look at those 7 cards there where purty much the god hand for the deck. A lack of Kivas meant a slow start but then we started playing them for each other, and my deck can really dump infinite cards but Jules was keeping up as well. I was still getting used to just what to risk on mission attempt and Jules played her dilemmas excellently, stalling me a LOT, but mine were staling her more, it helped I was fairly familiar with the basics of her deck. I had gone first and had to call time on her turn when i had everything in play to solve earth for the FW on my next turn, Jules gave missions a shot and cleared 2 to the final walls but was stalled from solving either it was a effort for pride though as I had ITZ available and over 50 points. being more familiar with the deck would have helped, get a FW as I was still playing a little to cautions and slow.

Round 3Romulandetze001FW (+100)View opponent's Report
Ah Andrew our Visitor from Seattle, WA, USA; we were both undefeated though with my 2 mod wins i absolutely HAD to win the game with a FW as a MW had potential for a 3 way 9 point tie fro first and a lose on tie breakers, Andrew getting a TT or any kind of win would take the tournament. I went first and EXPLOADED out fo the gate with a near perfect opening draw that saw me able to get O'brian out turn one AND build my remote supply depot for draws, Andrew also had nto stocked Gen Quarters and this deck when set to normally dl one a turn has the option to use a lot early so i did and through luck more then planing left one of my science behind when i attempted insurrection clearing the unscientific and kelven from the mission, ETU saving the one scientist. Insurrection was a 2 turn travel away from his outposts he could have done it with a hidden fighter but did not draw one, a Kivas on my turn meant a shape-shift for my 3rd scientist and a collection of metaphsic particles on turn 2. I drew in to MCCOY, ad he showed up on the extra turn and with unstopping personal I saw another mission solved, and had a guess at what might be at my space mission after failing the mag lock, it trend out i was wrong but i knew on the next turn i could use the founder leaders SD to beat what i assumed was there. Andrew took his second turn and threw every one he had at a mission a good solid away team really only to find a dead end. On my 4th turn I blazed forward and solved a 3rd mission for the win. me 4 turns opponent 2 turns, this game was a good example of why general quarters is good, and also that when you see insurrection make sure you have a way to stop it being solved early, dead end or easy to oppose, Andrew is not at fault fro his outpost placement here he seeded as close as he could with out building his OP int he neutral zone since he knew i was running Wake of the borg in my ref cards, and now he knows to put dead end there when that is the case. My first Full win of the day in impressive fashion, and it secured the tournament fro me barely as i would be at 10vp with the mod wins with Andrew at 9 and another with the possibility of hitting 9.

Closing Thoughts
Well a little bit of luck and all went well, I got the win to nail down the achievements it was built for, I enjoyed the deck and when I'm not to busy hunting other achievements I'll have to revisit a new version of it. Dominion solvers can work who woulda thunk it.
