Kenneth Tufts (Worf Son of Mogh) Tournament Report - 1E 2014-01-05 - 02:30 PM OTF FC feds v1.8 Introduction my FC fed deck, reloaded with DS9 dilemmas & MR. Brunt for achievements, today would be my 5th win with FC feds if I could get it. Round 1 Kurtis Correia FW (+65) oh Crap Kurtis Borg round one... this could be bad sure I have the defense I need in the deck TI and Ablative to make my one ship safe to work through dilemmas, and Geordi to peak is very strong against lots of Borg combos, however I would have to draw in to them odds not great before he came and assimilated the heck out of me. Kurtis hit amazing bad luck not seeing a Queen for at least 4 turns, that put him at least 3 turns behind where he needed to be and despite it taking me a LONG time to find them and tossing some good cards to handshake/renewal scrolls to find them I got my Borg defenses up and was safe to solve while he had to work with out my crew to help him. One funny thing when I was putting the dilemmas together for the DS9 achievement I actually ended up with a surprising amount of BORG effective dilemmas I mean nothing more then a one turn stall but a good few of them. Funny note MR. Brunt was key to my win he had to fall through a TMW to be a 5th Computer skill after data and geordi were dealing with ferengi problems. I was able to score a solid win Kurtis points came from one EG and 4 of my people that met nero servo. Round 2 Julia Y-F Chen FW (+100) I was mean, see I have these dilemmas they get passed by resistance and well that 40 point space mission was just to juicy. I stole Host soon and then started on insurrection. Jules went to try a mission and found a seismic quake with zero geology in play atm. Her second ship tried a space and found Hip oath + aphasia followed by dead end. The next turn I solved insurrection and used the extra turn to solve a third mission for the win. Round 3 Roxanne Barbour FW (+96) I was just running REALLY FAST this game and Geordi let me dodge some of the guarantied captures until I was ready for em. Her Q flash was brutal fro a pairing with a capture deck I lost a lot of points to Baliff and the Sherif, but my big 40 pointers were just able to make up for it and I speed to 3 solves and 101-4 win in short order, I was lucky I didn't hit the second flash or I would probably had to do a 4th mission as I had just enough people around none of there were really disposable on the last attempt. Closing Thoughts A Nice achievement hall hitting quite a few golds for x5 FC fed wins and both DS9 dilemma problems and solutions.
