Introduction |
The first two games I got raped in for pretty much the same reasons. My deck is new to me and I wasn’t as familiar as I should have been with it during those first two rounds. |

Round 1 | | Edwin Latrell | FL (-60)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
The first one was lost more or less do to my inexperience in playing the game and unfamiliarity of my new deck. I wasn’t playing the cards that need to be play when they should have been and also I wasn’t getting the cards that I needed. I split my missions a lot more than I should have, mean I split them up period seeing as my opponent was running the same regions and had to seeded them together no matter where I put mine. The other problem was the range of the ships I kept drawing. I only had a range of 8 to cross all 6 of his missions to get to mine. But the biggest problem was the first one I mentioned do to my unfamiliarity of this new deck I was unable to get the cards I need to complete my missions out when I needed them. |
I hate to say it, but Reg's deck really just took a crap on him. He had absolutely NO plays for free in his opening hand or in the next ten cards that he drew. I know that build is solid, and that there are always the remote possibilities that the deck can randomize against the player, but this was pretty bad. I think the trick for Reg will be finding away to make a "tool box" engine for his deck, that is: a way to hunt and peck for specific cards to pull and use. Final on this, turn three I have my first mission complete but was effectively force to do four missions by two run-ins with "The Higher... The Fewer." |

Round 2 | | Ferrell | FL (-20)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
My second game went a little bit better even though I lost. I was more familiar with my deck and realized some of the mistakes I made in my first game. I was still running into the problem of distance between missions do to the range of the ships I had drawn and also the ability to get past the dilemmas my opponent laid out for me still do to over -looking the cards that I seeded that would allow me the get the support personnel and mission specialist that would have greatly increased my ability to get past and complete the missions that I had in place. This game like the first I had no points scored and lost relatively quick do to me screwing up and place my missions all over the space line and not paying attention to the cards I had out. |
ok so first match ever, right off the bat i had cards just flying on to the table, with the help of augments and my free council members. Reg's deck was struggling and managed to head for a mission with in the first 10 turns. unfortunately he hit a dillema that made hime chase my ship around most the game. I had a T.k.c. tal'lhr ship with a range of 11 so his little drone with a range of 7 was never gonna catch me. so i kept steady, overcame mi dillema's and finaly took the win. i felt pretty accomplished for winning my first match. |

Round 3 | | Newell | FL (-20) |
Now comes the third and final game. And keeping with the pattern I lost yet again but not because I was over-looking the ability I have to get cards out but do to the fact that I just could seem to get the cards I needed to get them out. Everything was going perfect at the beginning. My deck was running smooth I had the ships I needed I was pulling support personnel mission specialists and staffing for said ships like it was kewl. I was breezing through dilemmas and nailing the missions down great. Then, my deck went cold I lost the staffing to one of my ships. Which cause me not to have the range I needed to beat my opponent to over last mission. The score at this point was 80(me) to 75 (him) and I was one turn away from blowing through the dilemmas and completing the mission that would have given me in the ball park of 105 to 115 point depending on my mission specialist used to complete the mission. But he beat to his mission this turn and for the first time all game had no problem with the dilemmas I laid out for him to take the win. |
