2021 Online Regional Sealed OTSD Deck |
Introduction |
I got insanely lucky with my card pool. I was able to play a Fed/Non-Aligned deck without needing a Treaty, got multiple Diplomacy personnel, and got a Horga'hn. Support cards I got to help interfere with my opponent also helped a bunch (Klim Dokachin, Telepathic Alien Kidnappers, Particle Scattering Field x2) |

Orbin did not play with 3way Treaty so he was able to steal my mission where he seeded a Horga'hn and 2 dilemmas he could walk through. Combined with a second or third turn Klim and a subsequent Telepathic Alien Kidnappers, I was unable to draw. I had 8 personnel on the table and unable to do anything, as I watch him climb to 100 points. In an event with an OTSD card pool and a constructed deck, I don't think he could have made a much better deck; in a Sealed tournament, it was devastating.

Closing Thoughts |
I really enjoy the challenge of sealed and the randomness of what you can get. With this tournament, the luck I got on the initial card pool was crazy good and heavily contributed to my wins. |
