VIPs for the win! (Oct 2010) |
Introduction |
So in this tournament I modified my VIP deck to add in some different missions, and to qualify for both Romulan/Cardassian and the 12 dilemma achievement. Though I got the achievements the changes I made to the deck were not for the better :)
The next revamp of the deck will change the missions again and will add back in some of the removed support personnel. |

Round 1 | | Roxanne Barbour | FL (-55)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Against Roxanne I got off to a slow start. I got held up by a lack of science and diplomacy and my dilemmas did not seem to be a problem for the mighty Kazon! |
James got off to a decent start.
However, he was lacking in science, on the table, so he got stopped by my dilemmas.
Since he only had 12 dilemmas, the first mission I attempted was not too difficult.
At the last mission, I was stopped by a Friendly Fire, then I just waited for the countdown to expire for the win. |

Round 2 | | Kurtis Correia | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This round I played against a relatively new player. He was playing a ferengi deck. The deck did wonderful at drawing and playing cards, but my opponent wasn't aggressive enough on the mission attempting. |
I noticed that my card draw mechanic was solid but unfortunatly i focused on that and not competing missions. Oh well I learned to worry abotu missions first. |

Round 3 | | Kenneth Tufts | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Well, in the last tournament I played in against Ken it was a sealed tournament and I stole 3 of his missions. Today, Ken returned the favor. On his first turn he completed my wormhole negotiations and on his second turn he completed my Pegasus search. That combined with an Arbiter of Succession on turn one let him get over 100 points and he went to win handily. |
James the master of mission stealing playign his massive high point mission deck, well turn one I stole his worm hole negations and played arbitor, more stealing the turn after that for a quick win ya high point missions. |
