Introduction |
This was an interesting sealed deck. My strategy in sealed is to avoid the triple treaty whenever possible so that I can mission steal. This time, I go two treaties Federation/Klingon and Romulan/Klingon. I had lots of feds, but between the klingons and feds I didn't have enough skills to seed 6 missions that I could complete, so I decided to do Romulan/Klingon, which gave me enough skills and some good possibilities for mission stealing.
That being said, not using the tripple treaty had me "tossing away" 10 fed personnel and left me with 11 personnel in my deck (4 rom, 4 kling, 3 na), so it was going to be tough. |

Round 1 | | Kurtis Correia | FW (+95) |
During the first game I started by playing anything I could except personnel, hoping to draw my Anti-Time Anomaly early, which I did. I dropped the Anti-Time Anomaly around turn 4 and then waited it out before playing any people. My opponent ended up using an STP to get his ship with most of his personnel back just prior to the explosion, right after failing to steal one of my missions due to a self seeded "Hide and Seek" and a little luck.
Other notable occurances were that I encountered Thought Fire with the Traveler affecting me, though it didn't kill any of my people thanks to the Klingon and Romulan PADDs I had played early in the game.
I ended up winning the game with two mission steals. |

Round 2 | | Julia Y-F Chen | FL (-45)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
This game started poorly for me. I went first and played a Traveler on myself, then I got hit with a Static Warp Bubble on my opponent's next turn. Unforutnately I had forgotten about Spacedoor's function to nullify it, so I ended up discarding almost half my deck to the card.
I used my Anti-Time Anomaly near the end of the game as a stall tactic (destroy all my opponents personnel or have them returned to hand so that they would draw out before completing more missions than me). After the Anti-Time AnomalyI had 50 points from two missions and only one ship with minimal staffing (D'Deridex with full staffing + one targ) left. I was hoping my opponent would deck before surpassing my points, but she got enough points the turn before decking. |
I won! wow!! |

Round 3 | | Roxanne Barbour | FW (+90)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Early on when my opponent undocked a romulan scout vessel with crew I stopped her ship with a Rogue Borg Mercenary and was within range to destroy it. She returned it to her hand to avoid loosing everything.
The game continued with my opponent not leaving her outpost and I was able to win with 2 mission steals. |
We both drew out this game.
