Host Metaphasic Sheilds Test |
Introduction |
With the release of new achievements I built this deck to get the following:
TNG Fed (hadn't gotten this yet)
Crew Quarters: Next Gen
TNG Problems
It was a fun deck that actually worked quite well. |
|
Round 1 | | Roxanne Barbour | FW (+70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Roxanne was playing her capture deck. I got a fairly good start against her and my card plays and draws were working well.
Noteworthy moments:
1. Diplomatic Intervention: Spock + Sarek. Sarek got munched by Krell and then Spock got beaten up in personnel battle.
2. James T. Kirk and Jean-luc Picard averted a solar implosion
3. Roxanne played Lore and it was Cool |
Parallax Arguers netted me 5 points.
I captured T'Pan and Gibson.
Denevan Neural Parasites killed 9, but James saved 1. (Although we found out afterward that due to the nature of dual personnel, he couldn't have been saved. Would not have made any difference, I think.)
Crell had fun eating Sarek, and beating up Spock
Loss: 100-30. |

Round 2 | | Kurtis Correia | FL (-1) |
Seeing the Ferengi, and me without a homeworld / headquarters I decided to try for the 140 point space only win against Kurtis. This game was quite close, with Kurtis getting the last points he needed the turn before I would have wno (Friendly fire locked me out of my mission) :)
Noteworthy moments:
1. My Picard with Leadership x2 made it through the filter and to the Friendly Fire... unfortunately I didn't have the security :(
2. Dr. Reyga died to an Unscientific Method
3. Kurtis laughed when I pulled out my universal ship, the Type IV Shuttlecraft. I told him it was in the deck because it was on the picture of Host Metaphasic Shields Test :) |

Round 3 | | Kenneth Tufts | FW (+50)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Ken was playing a TNG Fed deck with Barash. He pulled a cool trick to trigger Seek Out New Life (a neutral outpost at my mission and his mission specialists). This gave him Barash to his hand turn one. Unfortunately Ken took too long to get some much needed diplomacy.
Noteworthy moments:
1. Kirk, Dr. Christopher, Gibson, and Dr. Leah Brahms completed Host Metaphasic Shields Test for 60 points (50 for victory)
2. Chinese Finger Puzzle stopped 4 Androids!!!!
3. James T. Kirk and Jean-luc Picard averted a solar implosion for the win! |
James playing an interesting metaphsic shield deck. the game started well enough both of use dumped a lot of people in to play fast and started attempting. I though i was doign well clearing a space misison down to a gomttu which i promptly failed with zero dip in play! So I went on to clearing the close planet both misisosn could be 50 points each fro a nice quick win though i had no bio in play yet wich i woudl need to solve it. a few turns later after diggign through my deck with all possibel draws well past the half way point I finaly drew my first dip comander troi, and went off to solve that space mission for 50. The next turn i drew mutipel bio and went for the planet only to come up on a diplomatic intervetion, in all this time James had been clearing and solving missions, and won that next turn before I could make my S.T.A. officers to kill those pesky diplomats, on that last turn my enterprise damage from the gonttu coudl nto reach my other 50 poitn plant sadly, and the 2 duped spaces EDS and RM both had 6 dilemmas a peice. |

Closing Thoughts |
This was an enjoyable tournament. Though I had outpost raid in my dillemas, I never guessed the right mission :) |
