Introduction |
Fun with different quadrants!

Round 1 | | Kenneth Tufts | ML (-60)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Ken was playing a dominion AQ deck with Founders and Son'a. We both started slow, but I soon realized that my deck sorely lacked from a card draw mechanism (needed more than the continuing mission draws...)
My dilemmas slowed Ken a bit, though I did seed a space combo in the wrong order :(
I got to the DQ, built my outpost, played Home Away From Home and was enjoying being in out of the AQ. I got one mission done before Ken won. |
So off to a an OK start but the deck plays SLOW, my first game with it probably not helping time ran out with me in the lead and in a solid potion to get a fw had we had more time, but any thing could have happened so in a way I'm glad it ended while I was ahead. |

Round 2 | | Kurtis Correia | FL (-100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Against Kurtis I left for the DQ pretty soon (wanted to avoid battle); unfortunately the dilemmas under my DQ missions stalled me for many turns. I decided to fly to the GQ and ended up not being able to get back to the DQ thanks to a Ref Cycled Scanner Interference and my long range scan being sent to the discard pile.
Kurtis won before I had a chance to complete any missions. |
Ah the king of the left curve ball, MR. James Monsebroten. I alway love coming to turnaments when james shows up because he always has a new bag of tricks to either brutally beat us or just have a blast playing a fun theme deck. and boy i can tell you this was a very creative deck he brought. He show me a great idea for a TNG deck. 6 missions 2 in three different quardrants. I switched into mission solving mode with james as he has hurried off to the delta quardant via a missionII wormhole. james attempted a space mission and was stoipped, the next turn he attempted a planet mission which hit a ferengi ingenuity with a access denied on the mission which soaked up two personnel, his engineering kit and mr. tricorder. then when on to the gamma quadrant and hit the same combo but in its weaker state. I ended up winning 100 to 0 as my dilemmas and his quadrants help slow him down. it was fun to watch this deck work. like i said earlier this deck gave me a idea for a deck desgin which may be seen in a upcoming tournament or maybe not ;). |

Round 3 | | Roxanne Barbour | FW (+85)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Against Roxanne, she had a bad draw and I had a really good draw. I went fairly quick, got an AQ mission done then went to the DQ and got my next two missions (and my Vase artifact) before she could complete any missions. Roxanne scored points from 2 arguers and a plague ship. |
Absolutely disgusting draws for me this game. Such is life!
I managed 15 points from 2 Parallax Arguers and a dilemma, but that was about it. |

Closing Thoughts |
The deck concept was interesting, but didn't work too well. Thoughts to improve: A draw engine; possibly only go to the DQ (my preferred starting location) as having access to more missions at once would have been helpful... |
