Block starfleet wasnt fun |
SO I started out WAY faster then Kurtis he had a bad draw staring with about 3 or 4 of his 6 out of times in a large deck, and then a minor missread on ready to swim had him not realizing it was once per turn when he built the deck. Due to my lack of earth we only duped 3 missions leaving us each with 3 of our own though one of his was the anoying to attempt earth. I was dropping paired peopel in the past and slave girls fast, he was droppign slaves fast as well we both started with the boss man, but when i droped a 5 str one to his 4str oen I started some fights with a 7-4-5 on my 3 and 7-4-4 on his we would tie or I'd win each fight we tied first tehn I started killing his off. I realized my master plan to pass distracted god with Porthos and 8 int base guys was good but of the 3 8's I had one wasent human so I had a logn wait before I wanted to go attempt missions fearing this dillema a lot. i got to basicly the end of my deck got the archer to go with his puppy and went forward in time. and started flying to my un duped missions they only had 4-5 dilemmas where as the dups were all 7! I picked up my Orians and started attempting clearign the first planet with out to much trouble, the second i hit a quick dead end. By this time Kurtis had a large crew and everythign in place so he poped through and went for his unduped missions thanks to my poor choice of forgettign to put an anti redshirt dillemmas first he reshirted my first distracted, dalrok, god combo, because he died to the dalrok and already say the distraced he suspected a god and attemped again only when he was able to first move ships away, and he solved easily for 30 to my 35. The next turn I poped over to host meta shields gettign stalled unexpectedly when I lost my only exo/geo to the CS/geo filter and failed to pass microbrain. Kurtis was clearing earth with another dalrok combo but being cagey again he was saving his ship wich stalled the compleat and did let dalrok get an extra kill. I then worried about on dilemmas totaly didnt think about the most common follow up to microbrain the same dillema i planed to see behind it and dubble reshirted host failing a Linguestic at host with ZERO matching icons yay count down 5 :( knowing what I had at the dups and lookign at 2-3 turns just to move to them I decided to just wait it out and hope my dillemas would hold him. Kurtis solved either after a turn or 2 putting him at 60 to my 35, but he was depleated a bit and needed to recrew a bit as the count down was getting low he headed out to space and subspace shock wave, hit him stalling him out as 3 peopel died and the torpedo damage swaid no space for you. I was able to solve Host and then move to my dead ended planet still plenty of dilemmas but big crews and 1 minor delay later as daniels sent the crew back to the augment facility for a turn to ovoid a 2 turn friendly fire I was able to solve for the win 100 to 60. The not playing with earth risk payed off givig me 3 of my own missions to do not having to worrie about the horror seeded under the duped missions. |

block starfleet was fun |
Kurtis and I duplicated 4 missions: Earth, Free Orion Slaves, Amnesty Talks, and Automated Repair Station.
I cleaned out my first mission, but the last dilemma was a dead end.
Then I cleaned out two more and was stopped each time, and Kurtis swooped in and completed them, as they were duplicated missions.
Kurtis wins 100-0. |
