Tournament Report - 1E - American National |
2020-07-04 - 12:00 AM |
1E nations stolen from Peter |
Introduction |
So I was planing a crash deck, then I saw peter's deck from Kaiser Fest. So my lazy ass just took that. Turned out to be a good meta call. |
|
Round 1 | | Austin Chandler | FW (+100) |
The no downloads kills austin. So I am able to work through three missions and get the win that I need. I think I was about out of crashes when I won,

Round 2 | | Joseph Wisniewski | FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
Joe is slowed down by the crashes. A burried alive at the mission with my artifact also means I am able to win in two missions |
Lesson: Play the deck that won the last Nationals.
This deck is really fast. I think Maquis having 3 free personnel per turn is probably too much. I did stymie him for a moment with Buried Alive->Space Amoeba->"God" but he fished up another ship and took care of it while I was stuck again behind Computer Crashes. |
|
Round 3 | | Paddy Tye | FW (+70) |
So the crashes keep Paddy from downloading the outposts for consume outpost. that means he is more or less on lockdown
Misinpreted history also lets me kill Q before a cytherians. so that gives me lots of time. |
|
|
Round 4 | | Niall Matthew | FW (+100) |
Niall's holos get fairly grounded without downloads. He would have probs outsped me but I won before the Crashes ran out. I think I won in 6 turns, but I had mutated and redrawn a crash, so I had at least one more turn of sorta lockout |
|
|
Round 5 | | Matthew Pennaz | FW (+60)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
The crash plus putting ELF on his first ship buys me a lot of time. I am able to get through the med science combos quoickly, but the spaceline leaves me drawing for trechary. It shows up as litterly the last card I draw on my last turn Giving me the win that would have likely gone to him as his genisis device would trigger next turn. |
Wow, Peter/Jon has a fast deck! Computer crashes didn’t hurt as much as I thought they would have, and was able to push through *most* of the interference. Looking back I wish I had seeded a few dilemmas differently (one mis-seed) and had taken advantage of Villagers with Torches to stop the redshirt probing. Lots of fun, as always. Down to the last turn… again! |

Life Lesson Kids, if you need downloads: Quarks rods + 10 and 01 is key. |
