Introduction |
With G4 out i tried to make a bajoran deck that could keep up
I failed |

Round 1 | | Andreas Limmer | FL (-65) |
Basically I was just unable to get going fast enough and my dilemas were not well stacked against borg
My draw engines didn’t take off so that was the end of it
He probed well and I failed.
I was able to get through bajor and get city of ‘hala, but even backwards the scow really slowed me down

He is playing TNG ferengi I have a feeling I am going to get outrun hard with a pagh to boot
I get a terrible draw (and the deck is a mess so I am moving really slow
He then trips my defend homeworld
But then he blows up a warship that I left empty
He is then stoped by a unseientific method (after picking up quark form the bar
I get dead ended at bajor
So he is stopped by a scientific method
I try to attack his pagh, but I totally miss all of his engancements so I hand him so free kill
But I then relocate settlers
He salvages borg ship
I try to suer crew through characterize, but I get cytherians and leave an essential skill onm the ship
I also walked into a few battes giving about 20 points he otherwise woundt have got
He also managed to go at my two weakest dilemma combos for the two missions he solved . getting an easy win. Well played. I got out thought, out strategized and generally out played.

The third round I saw my first non-TNG deck, it was a simple Bajoran deck played by pfti(Jon) with BRC, DS9/Morn and conducting services for draws. Once I saw the Bajor region I was weary of the possibility a Starry Night was going to be seeded so I put Dead End under Bajor, Cytherians under Characterize Neutrino Emmisions and "God" under Relocate Settlers. Jon ended up putting Starry Night under Bajor. On my first couple of turns I set about setting up my Pagh crew and after weighing up my options I decided I was going to wait for Jon to move away from Bajor but use Lore to try and take Deep Space 9 and hope he wasn't playing too many Assault Vessels. After Jon had finished downloading all his ships and personnel I was glad to see only one Assault Vessel but a little worried about the number of Interceptors. Unfortunately he had a disruptor rifle which meant bad news for Lore who was killed on the next turn but I managed to destroy the Assault Vessel with a second attack from my D'Kora Marauder and I was fairly confident that with Ablative armour and my shield boosts Jon couldn't damage my Pagh even with all the ships attacking.
After that I set about attempting my missions (Jon used two Kobyashi Maru Scenarios and I stayed away from those mission). Jon attempted Bajor and hit the Dead End and he was cautious about moving his ships around with my Pagh sitting next door (for Let's See Whats Out There draws) and he failed a Lack of Preperation at Relocate Settlers. After completing Relocate Settlers Jon forgot to use Dabo for a number of turns and also gifted me with three Interceptors he tried to destroy my Pagh with because he forgot I had Ablative Armour. I completed a planet mission and had to fly a fair distance over to the space mission without Kobyashi Maru on it because it got stuck on the wrong side of Bajor when I got there Ferengi Ingenuity took two of my three Computer Skill personnel so I was stuck at Dejaren, I flew back to the outpost to wait for more Computer Skill. Meanwhile I decided to harass Jon on Deep Space 9 with my Pagh crew and slow down his draws.
Jon knew once I got Computer Skill I only had to fly back to the mission before I won so he went at Characterize Neutrino Emmisions with all of his personnel on board and hit Cytherians, I crippled him with the Pagh so he only had 3 range and then left to finish the game. |

Round 4 | | Mark | FW (+60)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
One last chance for a win so here we go
In first two turns I get shaker, morn and two resistance, so I have everything set up (leta turn three for some good old dabo, so good times
First attempt at bajor I get stoped by a lack of prep, second time I get stoped by ferengi infestation
I get lucky with a dejaran and hit a needed computer skill
I complete bajor for 35 points, getting a starynight and orb of wisdom
Next turn I return orb to bajor for 10
I go backwards through charactaereiz neutrino, but he does stop my astro so I have to wait one turn.
He is finally able to pass dejaran and competletes raid burial site for 40 points
Next turn I am able to complete with two mission specialists for 45 points
This with dabo points gives me the game

Round 4 - vs pfti:
Started off a bunch of playing and drawing (his play engines were being fueled quite nicely). Ira Graves didn't show up in my hand until my last draw, unfortunately. Don't think it made a huge difference, though.
Pfti attempted first, with an Espionage on his homeworld. Lack Of Prep set him back by ten points (-6, as he'd scored 4 with Dabo already). Another Dabo brought his score back to 0.
There were Kobayashi Marus on both my space missions.
I attempted Burial Site, and pfti's QTR was pitched for an Access Denied. Ferengi Ingenuity was first. Galen and Tallera were stopped. Ferengi Locator Bomb was next, sending Sheriff Worf to the bottom of my deck.
He reattempted Bajor, passing Lack Of Prep. Hero Worship stopped 2 Mission Specialists and three folk with 5 skills. Ferengi Infestation was not passed. 6 Dabo points brought his score to 6.
I played Bok, Baran and Gorta, they with Koral made it past Ferengi Locator Bomb. Dejaren killed Baran, and I didn't have 3 Computer Skill left to kill Dejaren.
The Bajoran horde overwhelmed the Ferengi Infestation, winning them the Starry Night sweepstakes. 35 points for the mission brought him up to 41. Starry Night was pitched for Orb Of Wisdom and The City Of B'Hala. Dabo brought the score up to 47.
I played a couple of Computer Skill my next turn, but wanted to play another so I had 4 going into Dejaren.
Return Orb To Bajor brought the opposing score to 57. He used City Of B'Hala to encounter dilemmas at Characterize Neutrino Emissions backwards. Vantika's Neural Pathways improved Ro Laren's personality, but 3 Security remained to pass Kazon Bomb. Important Guests stopped enough people to not be able to solve the mission that turn.
Ferengi Ingenuity went away, I went into the Burial Site with 5 Computer Skill. Dejaren killed Durango. I scored 40.
Just in case I could get at least close to a second solve, I took the Husnock Ship to Observe Stellar Rebirth. Deputy Rozhenko was Kobayashi'd. I lacked any Astrophysics for The Cloud.
Mr Carter's Bajorans solved Characterize Neutrino Emissions with 2 Mission Specialists for 45 points. 102. (A recalculation put his closing score as 104, not quite sure what made the difference in score, probably something to do with Dabo. Either way, it makes no difference to the outcome).
Final score: Pfti's recorded as 104, to my 40. |
