I pulled out my rommies who were anti battle teched because it is good and the online meta likes to shoot. Round 1 Pope FW (+100)View opponent's ReportView original Report Now I basically get to outrun him before he really gets to set up his battle deck as it moves it along. Only played Jon once before, but I wish it'd been in a later round. Having built this the night before, I'm sure I could have given him a better game if I'd played the deck once or twice previously. He was doing Sona/Baku/Androids/Romulan HQs with Handshakes for draws. I made a mistake in the seed phase and moved Dead End from the Baku planet to Evade Borg Vessel, thinking that Clown: Medicine/Clan People/Buried Alive/Quantum Fissure would keep him from pulling off Collect Meta. Particles, but with his dropping Data/Picard & Lore on turn 1 or 2, even forgetting that the tribble reduced his cunning & my obvious choice of Comp. Skill, they breezed through, and I hadn’t gotten a big ship there to block with QF yet. I blundered big time with a RRD in not grabbing the Plaque but getting Divert Power instead and not returning it to top of deck. Sadly this meant Charvanek wasn’t able to get her Battlecruiser to the planet to keep him from solving with the objective. He confirmed what I’d suspected, that he could switch modes and solve in Fed mode, but if I wasn’t a moron I could’ve deprived him of the objective at least, and subsequent double-turn and unstop which made it a blowout. This was especially annoying, since when I pointed it out to him when I realized my error almost immediately, he said that he’d just have blown up the ship with his two S’ona warships. But I had To be or Not to Be on the table, and he was unaware that there was ablative armor on the BC, so with that and tactic, his 2 Sona ships would not actually have hit it, and I would’ve hit his, and then used TBoNtB to finish one off, and then deal with the other on my turn. I’m sure he would’ve burned an STP, but then it wouldn’t have been there for his bailing out of Conundrum at the mission he went to next. So having got CMP, and then hitting only the minor speed-bump of Conundrum, he was able to solve Paxan & pass Dead End at Evade Borg Ship for the win, with my only points being from the Baliff. FL 100 – 3 Embarrassingly bad. Round 2 Michael Moskop FW (+100) Micheal get ship screwed and so I just slowly grind through. I have 42 cards in my discard pile by the time the game is done. He attempts first space and lacks the securitu for a beserk changling. He goes to another and I am able to emergent lifeforem him to paxan and then he is on the other side of creation with everyone. Because I can take off and land I get through insurrection fairly quickly. Then romulous was a sienctific method. But I already had two science so I just got an soong tpee back My first space attempt ran itno YGII, Rules of obiendience andthen I assumed as QI. So I decided paxan was a better risk. IT paid off I then triple team through paxan to win. Round 3 Niall Matthew FW (+100) He is piloting some Starfleet. I can outrun him Round 4 J FW (+71) THis is the game this deck was made to play against, and it did its job Turn three I play genesis device on insurrection “(naming dead end) and take a hard run at insurrection with everyone (figuring it is the last turn I get before it is uncontested.) I hit a trilitium raid I can pass and then the dead end (I suspect ted it because he left one card sitting by insurrection the entire seed phase). The double turn becomes a game in getting troops together. I then try to clear out paxan (knowing he doesn’t have andorids unless he changed the deck). The first chadra stopps me without a rommie. Next turn they try again and he flips linguistic, I try to dl salia (as I had DHW anya knowing the deck ran this dilemama) but he crashes it. So I try to ferry the rest of my insurrection people to my outpost on the injector assembly, but he outguns it. I build up crews and wait out the linguistic. The last dilemma is cytherians. It is about this time that he goes home to start solving. I bounce the cuthersians ship and replay it and solve. He goes to the MQ and trys a space mission but lacks the gun or the diplo to get passed the opening gomtu. I then attempt my homeworld. I get stopped by a buried alive and then a scow. I then just beam everyone up to ships so I can try to start moving if more LOOS show up. Next turn I skip mu playu to move to the romulan moon and land. I then move the scow off romulous. But there is a Quantum fissure next and he has ships three. So it is the mood or bust. He then attempts his MQ planet. They are hit by the game. He is able to wait this out and solve. The next turn I am able to move the scow at the moon by anijin the loos and moving the scow. That is the game. I also rescued captives at one point. I also seeded my outpost at evade borg vessel to prevent its destruction. My anti battle tech of this speed deck saved my bacon.
