Introduction
Unfortunately I had other business to attend way across the country so I was afraid I would not even be able to attend this event. I managed to convince my fellow travel mates to leave early on Saturday so I actually had a chance to make the second round. As I did not expect this before I asked Peter for a deck to play. He still had his Continentals deck ready and I really liked that one. However, not looking at the deck before (except in the two matches against it), and not knowing how to play it may not be the best combination for the deck :). But still, I could do some molesting!

Round 1ByeBY (0)
Peter told me we were at 8 players at the moment so he kindly gave me the bye for the first round so I could join in the second if I make it on time. Stupid snow on the motorway, stupid traffic jam .... come on car, get me to the Pschorrkeller, I am fucking thirsty! Finally made it with 10 minutes left in the first round. Got Peters deck and changed some dilemmas, got myself a beer and settled in for what I expected to be an awesome day

Round 2Non-AlignedHirogenMartin HirschvogelML (-5)
Hirschmeister sported Delta Hirogens and unfortunately he did not cut the Devil from his deck, dividing my Bajorans and Feds. I really did not know how to play the deck and with a gazillion personnel I was missing some very important skills. it did not help that Gunter killed Kira in an important random selection. I could not get two Officers into play until the end but somehow got two missions. The Hirschster had some problems on his own to get through the dilemmas with me crashing his downloads. At the last mission I of course failed Hazardous Duty and decided to get my ship back to hand so those ugly Hirogens were no longer able to distant-abuse Kira for her skills. However, forgetting to hit with Organized Terrorist Activity to lower one of his ship's range before returning my ship was an absolute fuckup. Hirschi was able to solve a mission next turn for the Mod Win. At least the beer count ended in a tie. Das ist gut, ja!

Round 3BajoranMaquisJohannes KlarhauserML (-18)View opponent's Report
Nice to play the Kaiser again. This was more or less the setup of the European Continentals finale with Computer Crash Maquis vs Bajoran/Maquis. And like in that match the both decks neutralized each other quite good in this match and it was clear that there would be no FW to be had in the game. Johannes' dilemmas hit me good, and this time I could not find any Science to get anywhere with the missions. However, Johannes also had serious trouble with his missions, being impaired by horrendous draws without Handshakes, by Computer Crashes and also by some nice Bajoran denying his transporting from a planet's surface via transport inhibitors. But with Dabo playing boobs he managed to get to 18 points before I could gag Neela to play some Dabo for myself. However, this being a deck by Peter, I was only able to probe Interrupts :) I love this matchup, Bajorans having the upper hand this time.

Round 4Hirogenoscar rubergFW (+65)
Oscar made his way down from Rotterdam to enjoy our fine beverages and I think he was not disappointed. He also brought a Hirogen 6 space deck, luckily I only had three or four planet dilemmas. Expecting him to do the missions on the outside first I left my good combos there and hit him quite good. I was saved once by his QT:CW when he hit his own Cytherians for bonus points and then only had three people left and could not solve. I somehow got through three missions except for one final skill again. So, I took my ship with almost all my people back to hand to Masaka for it. I was lucky to get it and solved next turn.

Closing Thoughts
What a great tournament. We had a hell lot of fun and a lot of beers. Thanks all for coming! After the tournament we had another depraved sealed deck tournament featuring black holes and non-disappearing Borg ships and then we hit a nice club for the final blow to our faces.
