Introduction |
I was very successful with my all-space Voyager deck recently (15 straight wins) so decided to play it once more just to see if meta has already adapted to it. I switched 5 cards to be more flexible. |
|
Round 1 | | Alexander Schmitz | FW (+100) |
Alex played Dominion Infiltrators. It was fun - my deck and my playing skills were pushed to its limits, but I managed to win thanks to very lucky Field Studies and very lucky dilemma draws at his space Stokoron (I think I was holding him for 5 attempts there). |

|
Round 2 | | Jon Carter | FW (+40) |
Jon played slightly outdated version of my deck (from previous tournament). At the beginning, it was a race for Inversion Mystery where we both named Tactical Disadvantage. After that I was able to outpace him for full win - he was not quite ready for switches I made. |
|
|
Round 3 | | Ted Reebel | FW (+85) |
Ted played the same deck as Jon (and I on my last tournament). But played it very differently - he was able to solve Caretaker very fast and then tried to microteam Inversion Mystery when it still had not any dilemmas beneath it. It was not succesfull because of such many cheap dilemmas that can stop Federation guys. It seems this build became really popular. And then... |

Round 4 | | Kris Sonsteby | FL (-70)View opponent's ReportView original Report |
... it finally met its Waterloo. I was catched unprepared with Kris playing ALC+kill pile+weenie TOS. Yes, I officially hate weenie TOS. Anyway, now I realize that I had a chance not to lose so completely or maybe even win against him. But I panicked and made several critical mistakes - played personnel the turn before he completed ALC and discarded a ship instead of useless homeward bound. Also, it was our second game without voice connection - very strange experience indeed. |
AK-47 was again administering 5-space Voyager, and promptly lost 6 of his first 7 personnel to Shocking Betrayal, Ardent Predator, and Preventative Repercussions. With the ALC bomb clearing the board a short while later, I side stepped a Tactical Disadvantage at Transport Crash Survivors to lead The Originals on to victory. FW 100-30. |

Closing Thoughts |
So, maybe this is a good time to retire this deck and try something new. It was good hunt. |
